Chef I Putu Gede Gunartha is joining forces with Ben Ungermann, runner-up of Australian MasterChef 2017, to satisfy your appetite with an inspiring selection of flavorful dishes.
The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali will be paying tribute to the strong ties between Indonesia and Holland with an exciting food collaboration at Ikan Restaurant on 2nd & 3rd June 2018. Culinary Connection will see the resort’s very own Chef I Putu Gede Gunartha join hands with Ben Ungermann, the charismatic runner-up from Australian MasterChef 2017. Together they will satisfy appetites with a selection of flavorful dishes that marry Indonesian and Dutch elements.
Ben is certainly no stranger to The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Late last year he took on a leading role in an exclusive charity dinner at the resort to raise awareness about depression. He impressed diners with his spice-infused dessert and went on to make lots of friends during his stay.
This special culinary treat will be served on Saturday, 2nd June 2018, when Ben and Chef Gunartha will host a special Afternoon Tea at the resort’s refreshed Lobby Bar & Lounge from 3.30pm onwards. Guests will get to enjoy a selection of irresistible sweet and savory treats in a charming outdoor setting. There will also be a cooking demonstration conducted by Ben who will share fun food stories and engage with everyone in attendance.
Come evening, the Culinary Connection menu at Ikan Restaurant will feature an assortment of superb dishes. Chef Gunartha will honor his Balinese roots by using locally sourced ingredients. Meanwhile, Ben will draw inspiration from his Dutch heritage and put an Indonesian twist on favorites like potato salad and beef croquettes.
