Lungarno Collection announces the end of its lockdown, where Portrait Roma & Portrait Firenze are expected to reopen on May 29th & June 1st, 2020, without sacrificing the safety of its employees and guests.
The hotel company owned by the Ferragamo family responds with optimism to the easing of the imposed restrictions in Italy. Portrait Roma and Portrait Firenze are the first two properties that the Lungarno Collection group has decided to reopen, respectively as of May 29th and June 1st. The choice to focus on the Portrait brand stems from the fact that its properties have always counted on a concept of hospitality that goes beyond the traditional hotel and offers its guests suites and large rooms that are real apartments, all with equipped kitchenettes (fridge, dishwasher, microwave), furnished with everything one needs to prepare lunches, aperitifs or private dinners, including a list of available ingredients to choose from, purchased daily from your butler. For those who intend to be pampered, the chef will prepare a guest’s favorite dish or may have one of the restaurants in the historical district deliver lunch or dinner directly “at home”, to be consumed in the suite, perhaps on one of the terraces with a breathtaking view of the Ponte Vecchio. In Florence, the Caffè dell’ Oro, our Italian bistro, will also reopen, with a front-row view of Ponte Vecchio. It will be available not only to Portrait Firenze guests (with the possibility of organizing private experiences on their terraces and suites) but also to Florentines. Breakfasts, aperitifs, and dinners that can now also be served on the new outdoor patio along the restored Lungarno Acciaiuoli street, which can finally be inaugurated on these beautiful spring days.
Portrait has always been synonymous with “made to measure”, handmade by us, by the hands and minds of our young team who, even on this occasion, will be able to safely stay alongside guest, thanks also to technology. Our 24-hour WhatsApp service will allow our butlers to respond to all guests’ requests to create the most unexpected and challenging dreams as always, with the possibility to occasionally accompany them in person. Such as on bicycle tours in the Chianti region, or on the fishing session for children in Rome, which will involve team members together with guests to share their passions. The human touch is for Portrait a great value that we cannot give up, and that we can simply interpret at a safe distance.
“Opening for us not only means resuming the activity of our hotels – says Valeriano Antonioli, CEO of the group – but also supporting our teams, collaborators and suppliers, whose existence is connected to us, as well as helping to restart Florentine tourism and its realities: from the trattorias/restaurants in the historic center (whose menu will be made available to our guests with delivery service) to the artisans (whom we will support by promoting them as a quality choice for shopping), as well as nature and the cultural panorama that only cities like these can offer (without of town trips or skip-the-line ticket purchases and private tours). We have also thought of introducing ad-hoc services for the moment such as hairdresser and aesthetic services in the room, so that – in complete safety and privacy – we can “beautify”.
Freedom and the possibility of experiencing these two cities, without giving up even for moment security, is truly an essential value today. We have scrupulously followed all national guidelines for the sanitation of our environments, integrated with the strict regional protocols that we have received. We have set up a Technical-Scientific Committee that integrates many professionals (including a doctor and a biologist) who – together with our team – have created procedures that will allow all our employees the opportunity to work safely, and to ensure that our guests – and in general all those who come into contact with us – can do so in conditions of extreme security. Procedures that concern not only hygiene rules and rules of good conduct (cleaning, sanitization of environments and air conditioning systems, purchase of all the devices necessary to prevent infection), but also preventative actions, thanks to training courses for employees and the purchase of temperature detectors, not allowing access to our hotels those with temperatures above 37.5 °.
The reopening of the two hotels will be celebrated with two joyful vocal performances that Portrait Roma and Portrait Firenze will organize on their terraces respectively on:
– May 29th, 2020 at 8:00 pm – live on Instagram @lungarnocollection profile
– June 1st, 2020 at 8:00 pm – live on Instagram @lungarnocollection profile
The idea is to launch around the world an anthem of hope and optimism 100% made in Italy… and we invite all citizens to amplify our musical notes of hope, assisting our IG directly as a virtual audience so that Florence and Rome are finally brought back to life, with all of us alongside.
