Prosportify Ventures launches the Indian Arena Polo League

India’s fastest growing sporting company Prosportify Ventures collaborates with the Indian Polo Association to launch the Indian Arena Polo League on Friday, 6th December.

At Jaipur Polo Grounds, New Delhi, the first edition of Indian Arena Polo League took place on 6th December 2019, celebrating the British High Commissioner’s Polo Day. Eight professional teams will be competing in February 2020, owned by leading corporate groups like Adani Group, Naveen Jindal and Dinesh Pandey as of now.

Starting from 14th February, 2020, the League will span across 28 matches over four consecutive weekends, with each team squad comprising 6 players – four Indian and two international. It is scheduled to broadcast live around the world on TV, namely on channels like Star Sports Select HD 2, Star Sports Select 2, Hotstar and Pay TV.

Professional players both national and international will be slotted once the auction takes place in January 2020. Currently, Naveen Jindal owns the Delhi Team, Adani Group handles Gujarat, and Dinesh Pandey, an NRI based in Singapore owns the Jaipur team.

After having built a successful league for a mass sport like Wrestling, I am really excited to foray into the other end of the spectrum, the super-luxury side. Polo is an Indian sport and I am really confident that it will attract the right team owners, sponsors, and viewers on TV. Its Polo time!” says Mr. Kartikeya Sharma, Founder & the Promoter, Indian Arena Polo League.

The first season of the League will commence at Jaipur Polo Grounds, Delhi and Rambagh Polo Ground, Jaipur. It will be the richest polo league in the world with prize money of INR 3.5 crores.
