Piaget celebrated 150 years of extraordinary craftsmanship with a spectacular event at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s illustrious history. The Swiss Maison’s “Essence of Extraleganza” collection unveiled a rich narrative of innovation, bringing together international luminaries to commemorate a legacy that began in the small Swiss village of La Côte-aux-Fées in 1874.
The partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) was more than a celebratory gesture—it was a strategic alignment that highlighted the region’s growing importance in the global luxury landscape. Noura Al Foulathi from ADIO emphasized this, noting the event underscored their commitment to forging global partnerships that enrich the economy and cement Abu Dhabi’s position as a curated luxury destination.
Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari emerged as a centrepiece of the evening, representing India with her trademark elegance. Draped in Piaget’s exquisite High Jewellery, Aditi captured the essence of the brand’s regal yet contemporary spirit. “Piaget has always represented the pinnacle of artistry and heritage,” Aditi remarked, adding, “Being here to witness 150 years of exceptional craftsmanship is truly inspiring.” Her presence underscored Piaget’s global appeal and its ability to connect with diverse audiences, blending her own regal lineage and creative spirit with Maison’s storied legacy.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Comar, Piaget’s CEO, spoke passionately about the brand’s journey. “Being able to exhibit Piaget’s extraordinary know-how and unique vision in this magnificent surrounding is a rare privilege,” he said.
The event was a visual feast, showcasing collections that span decades of artistic excellence. From the Altiplano and Piaget Polo to the Limelight Gala and Possession lines, each piece told a story of meticulous craftsmanship. The “Ateliers de L’Extraordinaire”—Piaget’s workshops—were brought to life through displays that highlighted the brand’s commitment to transforming gold, stones, and precious gems into wearable works of art.
A star-studded gala dinner followed, featuring international personalities including Apo Nattawin, Gabrielle Caunesil Pozzoli, and Padmanabh Singh, all adorned in Piaget’s high jewelry. The evening culminated with a performance by Kool & the Gang, adding a perfect musical note to the celebration of creativity and excellence.
Petronille De Parseval, Managing Director for the Middle East, India, and Turkey, captured the spirit of the moment perfectly. “We are not just celebrating 150 years,” she explained, “but marking a new dawn for creativity and craftsmanship.” This sentiment echoed the brand’s enduring motto: “Always Do Better Than Necessary”—a philosophy that has guided Piaget through 150 years of artistic innovation.
Founded in 1874 in the quaint Swiss village of La Côte-aux-Fées, Piaget has built a legacy on its pioneering craftsmanship and daring creativity. From crafting high-precision movements in its early years to revolutionizing Haute Horlogerie with ultra-thin designs in the 1950s, Piaget has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation. Its collections, including the Altiplano, Limelight Gala, and Possession, remain emblems of sophistication and artistry.
As Piaget marks 150 years, the Essence of Extraleganza was a statement—a testament to the Maison’s enduring allure and its ability to remain timeless in an ever-evolving world of luxury.
