Entering into the new normal, we have experienced a drastic shift in way of life, social interactions, and most importantly ourselves, here why including yoga in your routine can help you be normal.

Entering into the new normal, we have experienced a drastic shift in way of life, social interactions, and most importantly ourselves. We’ve picked up new skills and have definitely grown to be more mindful of our habits. As the economy deals with bringing itself back on track, Work From Home is going to be an integral part of the fabric of this “new normal”. While initially being forced to adapt this pattern of working due to the unprecedented circumstances, various companies have now grown to accept it with open arms and are leaning more towards this structure of functioning.

Work from home sounds tempting but we can all agree that it comes with its share of pros and cons. Where on one hand we have the comfort of working out of our own homes, time management can be a major issue as the log in and log out timelines start to blur. Not to forget the additional responsibilities of a household. Amidst all of this, we often let mental and physical well-being take a back seat.

So, if this is actually a window into the future it is imperative that we stay with the times and make some minor changes when it comes to our daily regimen.

The question is, how does one manage this lifestyle? The answer is simple. YOGA. While a quick HIIT workout or lifting those heavy kettlebells may show faster results, it can be said that the pandemic has been a wake-up call to focus on our overall health in a way that yields long term benefits.

Make Yoga a lifestyle! Not only will this help you in becoming leaner and stronger but yoga also helps one in becoming more conscious about their habits and choices. Yoga can help you eat better, sleep better, think better, and feel better. Besides all these positive effects, yoga also helps in boosting your immunity not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.

Takes care of your mental health: Through meditation and breathing practices, yoga relieves an individual of all stress and negative energy. Not only that, but you’ll also notice calmness in stressful situations and a clearer head to sort those situations out. Since it is an inward journey, during yoga you focus on yourself entirely and connect with your spiritual self.

All-rounder: Yoga asanas not only help improve you externally in terms of appearance but aid in the better functioning of organs and glands. The various poses are directed to a specific part of the body that regulates blood flow and functioning of the targeted section. For example, Paschimottanasana (Seated forward bend pose) is one such pose that along with other effects in improving digestion and Setu Bandhasana is considered to focus on a healthy uterus and other pelvic organs.

Better sleep, more efficiency: It’s known that a good sleep cycle and deep sleep make an individual more efficient and productive. So, while we’re trying to make most of the work from home, why not do it the right way? Gradually opening the chakras of your body, yoga aligns your mind and body to work in unison leading to a healthier, more stress-free routine.

Yoga from home: You don’t need equipment to practice yoga, all you need is the will and dedication to learn something new and practice it religiously. Unlike other forms of fitness that require a lot of space and a particular type of set up, yoga requires a silent room and a mat to keep you comfortable. It’s that easy! It also doesn’t require any supplements to catalyse the results, if anything it helps you cleans your bad habits and guide you toward a more spiritual lifestyle.
