Paolo Sorrentino honoured at 9th Annual Filmmakers Dinner

9th Annual Filmmakers Award held at Cannes in joint partnership with Finch and Partners and Jaeger LeCoultre.

Finch and Partners, in partnership with Jaeger LeCoultre, awarded an Italian director Paolo Sorrentino the Annual Filmmakers Award in front of the VIP guests at the Hotel Du Cap Antibes.

“It is really good to honour Paolo whose spirits both as an artist and as a man is greatly inspiring to me personally. His work encompasses the most important elements of life to me. Love humour, passion and the unexpected of the spirit and fantasy” said Charles Finch.

The event, hosted by Charles Finch, was attended by models Coco Rocha (who wore the Rendez-Vous Moon for the occasion), Naomi Campbell and Eva Herzigova, actor Adrien Brody, actresses Olga Kurylenko, Gemma Arterton and Elizabeth Olsen, screenwriter and director Abel Ferrara, director Takashi Miike, Katya Mtsitouridze amongst others.

Guests enjoyed cocktails on the terrace followed by dinner and dancing tha continued long into the night. For the third year, guests were invited to view a special photographic exhibition, ‘The Art of behind the Scenes’. Which showcased pictures from some of the world’s most accomplished ‘on-set’ photographers. The exhibition was produced by Finch & Patners and Jaeger-LeCoultre and featured previously unseen images of Brigitte, Bardot, Sophia Loren and James Dean, evoking the truly glamorous history of the film festival.

Now in the 9th year, the Annual Filmmakers Dinner continues to develop into one of the most important events during the Cannes Film Festival and is Synonymous with the glamour and magnitude of the festival itself. Previous recipients of the Filmmakers Awards have included Nick Broomfield, Gus Van Sant, Alfonso Cuaron, Christopher Hampton, Bernardo Bertolucci and Bertrand Tavernier.
