Maserati is globally known for setting a benchmark in the automotive industry and the Italian automaker has once again pushed the limits of excellence and performance with a grand reveal of the new GT2 Stradale at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi. The electrifying two-day track event brought an immersive experience for over 100 VIPs, media and motorsport aficionados, to witness firsthand the evolution of Maserati’s engineering excellence against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic Formula 1 circuits.

The GT2 Stradale: A Collector’s Dream

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the overseas debut of the GT2 STradale, a road-legal evolution of the GT2 race car that dominated the Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship 2024. Powered by a 640 CV Nettuno V6 engine, the GT2 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 324 km/h. Featuring CORSA DRIVE MODE, the sports car is ideal for those who crave a true track-level driving experience on the open road. With only 914 units in tribute to Maserati’s founding year in 1914, the GT2 Stradale is an exclusive collector’s piece. Elevating the thrill factor, professional race drivers gave guests adrenaline-fuelled hot laps in the GT2 Stradale.

A Luxury Automotive Experience

Maserati’s YMC takeover was an all-encompassing luxury automotive experience. The event featured high-speed track sessions, immersive brand activations in the garage, and an exclusive preview of Maserati’s Fuoriserie personalisation program. Attendees explored the configurator station and admired the Folgore display, which highlighted Maserati’s cutting-edge Formula E race car set to compete in Season 11. Beyond the track, guests got behind the wheel for an exhilarating on-road drive through Abu Dhabi in the Grecale SUV, as well as test drives of the GranTurismo Trofeo and GranTurismo Modena. The Trofeo, powered by a 550 hp twin-turbo Nettuno V6, rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 320 km/h. The Modena, delivering 490 hp, achieves the sprint in 3.9 seconds, peaking at 302 km/h. Completing the lineup were the GranTurismo and Grecale Folgore, the GranCabrio Trofeo, and the MC20.

Maserati’s Head of Overseas Region, Philippe Claverol, commented on the occasion: “The GT2 Stradale is a testament to Maserati’s racing heritage and dedication to high-performance craftsmanship. Bringing this model to the Yas Marina F1 Circuit for its overseas debut allows our clients and media to witness firsthand the evolution of Maserati’s engineering excellence.”

An Elevated Experience Beyond The Track

To enhance the experience, Maserati’s distinguished partners played a vital role. Sonus Faber infused the garage with premium high-fidelity sound, mirroring the superior audio systems found in Maserati’s vehicles. Sparco provided world-class helmets and safety gear, ensuring top-tier protection for guests during track sessions. Meanwhile, Bridgestone’s cutting-edge tires optimised grip and handling on the GranTurismo and Grecale models, delivering peak performance both on and off the track.

The luxury experience extended beyond the circuit. Guests were accommodated at W Hotel Abu Dhabi, where breathtaking track views heightened the motorsport ambiance. The event culminated in an elegant Maserati-curated dinner at Cipriani Yas Marina, celebrating Modena’s rich culinary traditions. The four-course family-style feast featured signature dishes like Tortellini in Brodo and vanilla gelato drizzled with traditional Modena balsamic vinegar—a true taste of Italy.

With high-speed thrills, exclusive unveilings, and world-class hospitality, Maserati’s Yas Marina Circuit event was a masterclass in luxury and performance, reaffirming the brand’s status as a global leader in automotive excellence.
