Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Official Partner of the Venice International Film Festival for the 14th consecutive year, showcased some of their iconic and newest creations on the red carpet.

This year David Cronenberg received the Leone d’OroAllaCarriera – the Venice International Film Festival’s annual lifetime achievement award. To pay tribute to his work, for creating more than 50 films.
CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre Catherine Rénier and Actress Sarah Gadon presented David Cronenberg with a personalised Reverso Leone d’Oroallacarriera, engraved by Jaeger-LeCoultre artisans with a lion, the symbol of Venice.
The 50th anniversary of an icon
2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the Polaris Memovox diving watch famed for its sporty elegance. Friends of Jaeger-LeCoultre Daniel Brühl, Henry Cavill, DiegoLuna and Stefano Accorsi all wore watches from the 2018 Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection. David Cronenberg wore the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date, which closely resembles the original Polaris design from 1968 thanks to its Vanilla Super-LumiNovaTM dial, date at 3 o’clock, mix of Arabic numerals with trapezoid shaped markers, railway track minutes and its caseback engraved with a scuba diver. In the original version, the scuba diver helmet engraving was hidden on the inside of the caseback, known only to the wearer.
185 years of history
Marking the maison’s 185th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled a retrospective exhibition of precious timepieces showcasing the manufacture’s prolific history.
Since its beginnings, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created over 1200 in-house calibres, many of which have powered the world’s most iconic watches. The specially curated display included rare 19th century Jaeger-LeCoultre watches alongside current pieces from the Master, Reverso and Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collections, all transported for the occasion to Venice from the Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture in Le Sentier in the Vallee de Joux, Switzerland.

CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre Catherine Rénier, wore the Jaeger-LeCoultre 101 Feuille in pink gold. Originally created in 1929 and coveted by film enthusiasts across the globe for almost a century since, the 101 has been a frequent sight on red carpets and remains to this day one of the smallest mechanical watches ever made.
Canadian actress Charlotte Le Bon chose a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso One Duetto Moon in pink gold.
British actress Gabriella Wilde wore the Jaeger-LeCoultreRendez-Vous Day & Night Tribute to Cinema, available in a limited edition of 100 pieces. The Day and Night indicator enjoy a touch of cinematic glamour – the moon makes way for a pink gold five-pointed star which glides across a crimson backdrop suggesting a star-studded red carpet.
Egyptian actress, Nelly Karim walked the red carpet ahead of the ‘Suspiria’ screening wearing a Reverso One Duetto High Jewellery in pink gold.
Belgian actor, Matthias Schoenaerts starring in ‘Frères Ennemis (Close Enemies)’, Directed by David Oelhoffen, was wearing a Master Ultra-ThinRéserve de Marche.
Mexican actor, Diego Luna walked the red carpet ahead of the ‘At Eternity’s Gate’ screening wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date.
And Serbian Actor, Milos Bikovic walked the red carpet ahead of the ‘Dragged Across Concrete’ screening with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph on the wrist. Actor Ming Dao wore the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph in pink gold and Actress Sveva Alviti wore the Jaeger-LeCoultreRendez-Vous Ivy Secret

The last day of the event leading lights from the film industry for dinner at Venetian Arsenal to celebrate the art of filmmaking, while showcasing a retrospective exhibition of 185 years of Jaeger-LeCoultre watchmaking. Other guests included David Cronenberg, Henry Cavill, Dakota Fanning, Daniel Brühl, Diego Luna, Stefano Accorsi, Milos Bikovic, Sarah Gadon, Fala Chen and Ming Dao.
Jaeger-LeCoultre played an active role in all major events during the 75th Venice International Film Festival. In addition, Jaeger-LeCoultre champions the art of cinema all year round, awarding filmmakers, supporting talent, and preserving the heritage of classic films for the future through its film restoration project.
