Design & Aesthetics define Luxury Living

Design and aesthetics are the two pillars of luxury living Nibhrant Shah, Founder & CEO, Isprava shares his idea of luxury homes.

One constant factor that defines space is its design. The moment one steps in, both the architecture and interiors of a space are the main focal points. The design and aesthetics of a space can define luxury along with the comfort and convenience it serves.

While building a home, a lot of factors need to be considered, from furnishings to modern fixtures, from architecture to landscapes as well as the personality of the person living in the space. When all these factors are meticulously planned and decided, there emerges a home that is unique, reflects one’s personality, encompasses all aspects of luxury; capable of being an heirloom to pass down to generations.

Buying a home involves many considerations. Whether it is a retirement retreat, a holiday escape or a home away from home, it needs to be an exclusive, unique and secure purchase. It is a valued investment that is equipped with the best-in-class facilities, amenities and services, timeless and bespoke in style and aesthetic.

A home, to be complete with grandeur should include a unique blend of taste, style, scale and comfort. It should be a layout offering abundant natural light, great views, high ceilings, maximum ventilation and liveable space, plush, verdant and manicured lawns and a welcoming pool. Today one can find multiple choices of furnishings as per their requirement and can switch to complete furnishing from modern pieces to antique furniture and artefacts, bespoke soft furnishings, handpicked linens, curtains and upholstery and top of the line amenities such as air conditioning, television, full load diesel generator set, and other white goods.

A home should just not be built but crafted uniquely to redefine luxury. It needs to be luxurious yet efficient, comfortable yet elegant. Ones that showcase traditional techniques with a contemporary outlook. Each home is different from the other and has its own unique story to tell. At Isprava, we don’t just handover a space for our customer to call a holiday home, we deliver a promise of exclusivity, comfort and integrity, where every element is detailed to rival the most discerning standards, worldwide. Our created homes across India reflect the persona of the location. In Goa, we follow a Goan-Portuguese architectural style while in Coonoor, we have a more British Colonial architecture. The designs of the home are made in such a way that it showcases the glory and extravagance of the past.

It is quite the art to bring in the aspect of luxury while responsibly using natural resources. An expert in design and architecture should not only focus on building homes with materials that are sourced locally in order to sustain the weather but to understand the need of grand outdoors and thus, pay a lot of attention to the greenery, the pool area and provide ample space for family and friends for a great get together.

The interiors of the home are as important as the architecture. It should inculcate the art of reusing, repurposing, and refurbishing, to give the home an old-world charm. The furniture and décor should be synced in such a way that it showcases beautiful craftsmanship along with artistry. It should be a combination of refurbished and newly made pieces with varying finishes, fabulous light fixtures, and curated artefacts— all balanced to exude a classic ambience. Renowned paintings, sculptures, and artefacts from across the world are carefully chosen to add magnificence. With the right techniques and expertise, any space can be revamped to look new and carry that sense of sophistication. As emphasized before, all it takes is subtlety and the right aesthetics in the design of interior space. To put it simply, designs that are appealing to the human eye, while also casting an elegant ambience becomes luxury.
