A well-known fitness and wellness consultant, Deanne Pandey believes in the power of self.
Having trained some of the fittest stars in Bollywood, Deanne Pandey is one of the country’s foremost fitness experts, a health coach and the best-selling author of “I’m Not Stressed: Secrets for a Calm Mind and Healthy Body” and “Shut up and Train: A Complete Fitness Guide for Men and Women.” A strong believer in the power of inner strength and positivity, she says, “My fitness, lifestyle and positivity and realness is all authentic. I don’t need to showcase something that I am not. At the age of 50, I have done it all in an organic way. For me, the body, mind, spirituality and mental wellbeing are all interwoven and connected.
Looking up to her mom who is her icon, Deanne says, “I come from a family of six kids and my mother brought us all up really well. She is 76 now, and I have never seen her grumble about anything. Her positivity and calm inspires me, and gives me strength.” A believer in the power of self, she says, “As a woman, your strength comes from within.” She adds, “Everyone has problems, be it work, financial, emotional or anything else – but the real strength lies in taking these issues in your stride and working towards improving them. You have to deal with your own battles. Managing these and yet balancing all other aspects of your life in a healthy way is what keeps you positive and calm. It is something that can be developed by continuously practicing it over the years. This is your very own wellness journey.”
Explaining the thought further, she says, “You are born alone and you die alone. But you have to have inner strength to face it all, without the dependence on external factors. Inner happiness can only come from within. I don’t need bags sand jewellery to make me happy. My inner strength brings me happiness, and this positivity always shines through.”
Her official portal highlights that ‘Deanne Panday believes that simplicity lies at the heart of true fitness, that it is all about the BALANCE. To eat well, work hard and play hard. There is much more to health and fitness than just a good body, or that perfect six pack: it’s about a full spectrum of wellness in all aspects of life. Self-care is the new health care!’ Extending the thought, she adds, “I don’t follow fitness for vanity, but for wellness. The concept cannot be about aesthetics alone, but about wellness as a lifestyle in its entirety.” We can’t agree more.
