Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Reveals a Brand New Avatar!

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, a jewel in the crown of the Conrad Group of Hotels & Resorts, has revealed a first look into its completed multi-million dollar refurbishment programme, ahead of its Grand Relaunch later in March 2022. The Group is known for seamlessly combining contemporary design, leading innovation, and curated art to inspire the entrepreneurial spirit of the globally-connected traveller, and the twin-island resort is a true celebration of distinctive design that perfectly harmonises form, function and the natural environment. This adult-only island is the perfect getaway for couples and families to discover paradise.

Unfurling a new chapter of barefoot luxury following an extensive two-year transformation, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island introduces 50 upgraded overwater villas, an opulent Spa, and a state-of-the-art Gym. The revitalised spaces allow for intimate connections with the natural habitat in a modern setting, for discerning jet-setting clientele to create new memories. General Manager of Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Carla Puverel, comments, “We are delighted to unveil the first of the refurbishments in Conrad Maldives Rangali Island’s next chapter. As the ‘Island of Firsts’, having been the first international brand to arrive in the Maldives, home to the world’s first undersea restaurant Ithaa and first underwater bedroom set within the two-level THE MURAKA residence, we pride ourselves on remaining innovative and offering a level of personalised service unique to our resort. The extensive renovations which began in 2019 demonstrate our commitment to investing in guest experience[,] which continues to build on our legacy.”

A range of newly enhanced experiences await guests at the property.

50 Refurbished Overwater Villas

Elegantly reimagined and spacious overwater villas are effortlessly perched above the resort’s lagoon, offering scenic coastal views at all times of day. Dedicated to couples and honeymooners, these villas have been transformed into luxurious havens of comfort and style by including chic new interiors, combining integrated indoor-outdoor living spaces with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean, and providing direct access to a private sun deck. From the spacious Sunrise and Sunset Water Villas (86 square metres), oceanfront Premier Water Villas with Pool (152 square metres) to the ultimate overwater haven Two Bedroom Rangali Ocean Pavilion with a Pool (451 square metres), the rooms cater to the evolving needs of the sophisticated traveller.

Refreshed Over Water Spa

This spa sanctuary, surrounded by the calming sounds of ocean waves, aims to inspire and invigorate the body, mind, and soul. Spa aficionados will receive pampering treatments at the new indoor and outdoor lounge; and the renovated reception area, elegant changing rooms, and spacious showers will add a generous dose of luxury to the experience.

Brand New Gymnasium

With an emphasis on optimum health and wellbeing at Rangali Island, a fully-equipped sophisticated work-out space for adults has been created to complement the gym on the main island.

Elevated Dining Experiences

The final leg of the renovations will introduce unique dining offerings through posh transformations within three of the resort’s celebrated restaurants and bars, as well as the establishment of a Teens Club and added enhancements to the Kids Club and Dive Centre.
