Building a SafeSpace For All with Sasha Bose, NanoChemiqs

Introducing NanoChemiqs – India’s leading nanotechnology company developing antiviral solutions for safe working spaces, safe fleet, and safe clothing. PEAKLIFE gets in colloquy with Director-CEO Sasha Bose.

With over 15 years of experience in the management of products, services, and supply chain capability to deliver state of art technology-based products to end customers, NanoChemiqs Private Limited (’NPL’) is a young company incorporated with the aim of providing ecologically sustainable solutions to strengthen business and people determined to overcome the current and future challenges in the world.

In conversation with Sasha Bose, Director & CEO, Nanochemiqs Pvt. Ltd, PEAKLIFE dives into the brand’s ethos, technology, and future prospects.

1.) Starting off, how did the concept for FaibrX come about?

Faibr x was conceptualised on the idea of SafeSpace for every human and child. Clothes are the biggest carrier of virus and bacteria and we strongly believe that clothes can be the biggest protector against virus and bacteria. Faibr x was conceptualised to add an element of protection, certified protection in this case, to our daily wear clothes to protect us against virus, bacteria, and insects including mosquitoes.

2.) What would you say is the USP of the brand?

SafeSpace for human and child, for sure.

3.) Could you please take us through the process of nanotechnology being part of this venture? How does that play an essential role for the brand?

Faibr x uses nanotechnology to impart protective nature to garments against virus and bacteria. The protective finish as added to garments is done on a nano level (1 nanometre is 10^-9 metre) wherein the protective finish is applied on the fibre of the cloth. This nano level application allows the garment to not only be completely protective in nature but also makes it long lasting. Only due to nanotechnology are we able to achieve such high levels or protection and are also able to give it a long lasting finish.

4.) What are some challenges you face on the daily?

Biggest challenge is to make the end consumer understand and acknowledge our solution.

5.) Could you please elaborate on your expansion plans in India? Can we expect retail stores for the near future?

We don’t intend to set up standalone stores, instead we are actively tying up with grocery stores, medical stores, dry cleaners, and departmental stores to act as collection points for us. This has a few major benefits like wide reach of such stores, outlets being open despite lockdown in a pandem, and stores cut across socio-economic barriers to have a substantial customer base.

Considering we are trying to reach each and every citizen, an easy access counter where the consumer doesn’t have to think twice before entering, provides a gateway.

6.) How have you been sustaining through the pandemic?

Our solutions are designed to counter the pandemic and comes under essential services so business has been thriving in the lockdown.

7.) Your success mantra?

Failure is not an option.

8.) Lastly, any advice for budding aspirants in the same sphere as you?

Find a like minded co-founder/mentor who thinks like you and a hustler attitude.
