FUDOIN IWAYADO
One of the best places to visit in Wakasa is Fudoin Iwayado. The Fudoin temple was constructed more than 1200 years ago as an ancient cave. It is constructed on a river, making a very serene environment for meditation. The artefacts contained in the temple, including the wooden Buddha, are historically rich. WAKASA WADA BEACH
The best thing about Wakasa Wada is the ambience and serene atmosphere. The Wakasa Wada was the first beach to win the Global Blue Flag award for its beauty, heritage and cultural conservation. In this beach, you can sunbath, swim, fish some small ornamental fish, or enjoy the cool sea breeze. The beach has amazing tour guides who can make your experience magical. You can use paddleboard or cruise the latest tech boats on the beach.
WAKASA MUSEUM OF HISTORY
One of the richest historical sites in Japan is the Wakasa museum history. The museum displays artefacts as long as 70,000 years old. The prominent archaeological records are the terihama shell mount, the remains of the early settlers of Wakasa people. The museum also contains varve which was discovered at the bottom of the lake.
