Bangalore Watch Company-world-class collections of timepieces launch their new collection Renaissance.

A classic dress watch, the Renaissance draws inspiration from a time when watches were not just timekeeping instruments but identified with the wearer’s appreciation for timeless accessories. The watches are modern workhorses using only the latest materials and components that will last you a lifetime.

The Renaissance Automatic 40mm cases are machined out of surgical grade stainless steel, and constructed for a water resistant rating of 10 Atmospheres or 330 feet. The top bezel, and the case-back are finished with a high polish, while the sides, and lower bezel are finished in an elegant satin-brushed pattern. The satin-brushed lugs with a polished chamfer are set 20mm apart, a standard width in many classic watches.

Taking its lead from the subtle, yet striking design philosophy of the Renaissance Collection, the dials are a representation of sophisticated craftsmanship. The Argentum, Grand Ivory, and Deep Anthracite dials are all finished with a circular brushing pattern with applied indices for hour markers, applied minute markers, and an elegant date window at 3H. 74 individual elements including the hour indices, minute markers, date window, and the signature shield logo have been hand applied on each of the dials. The dial has been consciously stripped of extravagant markings, allowing the viewer to appreciate the fine surface finishing, and the applications in full view.

The Miyota 9015 is an automatic winding three hand time-teller with a date complication. The movement carries 24Jewels and is tested to have a 42 hours power reserve; it vibrates at 28,800 beats per hour resulting in a smooth sweep of the seconds hand. The attention to detail on the watch has carried on to the movement too. Laser engraved BWC signature shield motif on the oscillating weight of the watch, making it worthy of the view through the flat sapphire crystal on the back, and possibly a great party trick.

To enjoy the minutiae of the timepieces, the case fitted with a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal in the front. The front crystal is also treated underneath with an anti-reflective coating allowing you to get a clear view of the dial at all times, both indoors and outdoors.

The Renaissance Automatic watches come in genuine leather bands made of calf-skin, embossed and printed with a croc-pattern, fitting the classic style of the timepieces. The undersides of the bands lined with a custom-made nubuck. Nubuck is known to be more resistant to sweat and water.
