German luxury automaker Audi has launched its new cross over Q8 in India, priced at Rs. 1.33 crore. With this new model, Audi has entered a new segment of Coupé SUV’s.
The newly launched SUV is BS-VI compliant and will be sold as a completely built unit (CBU). Powering the crossover is a 3.0-litre TFSI engine with a 48V mild hybrid system producing 340bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine gets mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with an All-Wheel Drive drivetrain.
Looking at the overall design, the new crossover SUV gets the biggest grille with LED headlamps with an option of Audi’s Matrix units. 21-inch wheels are standard and the rear gets connected LED with dual exhaust tips.
On the interior, the Q8 gets ambient lighting, four-zone climate control system, panoramic sunroof, cruise control and a Bang and Olufsen sound system. ABS and EBD, 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, lane departure with ESC are standard. The Q8 gets a dual touchscreen setup – the top screen is the infotainment system while the bottom is the climate control system. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, an all-digital instrument is standard.
