As the brand uncovers its newest addition, Favre-Leuba commemorates its legacy with the biggest names of India’s culinary industry.
Favre-Leuba, the second oldest luxury Swiss watch brand, unveiled its latest timepiece – the Sky Chief Date – in a grand culinary celebration featuring Indian Accent’s Chef Manish Mehrotra, a pioneer in modern Indian cuisine, and Mr. Magandeep Singh, India’s first qualified French Sommelier. The dinner was hosted at the Indian Accent, New Delhi.
The evening as it unfolded, reminded of connections between time and cooking, keeping in mind the experience we all have in an urban living.
The dinner menu was created by Chef Manish Mehrotra himself; taking inspiration from the brand’s spirit of exploration across different landscapes. Ode to the urban living, the canapés were a delectable treat in the Chef’s interpretation of walking through the food streets in Delhi. The many courses that followed paid tribute to all elements that push us to new journeys in the natural outdoors – forests, oceans, deserts and snow.
Chef Manish Mehrotra, Corporate Chef, Indian Accent, explained, “When cooking, even a few seconds make a huge difference. Following time for a chef is so important as otherwise the dish will be ruined – burnt or undercooked. When I started wearing my Favre-Leuba Chief watch, I felt that there is something real on my wrist. It is stylish and it is high quality, and I know it is made with so much history and so much research. It is very cool that one of the best watch companies in the world is based in India and Switzerland, and I am wearing one on my wrist.”
The classic collection, inspired by the brand’s 1950s and 1960s, has been priced from INR 2,50,000 and is available at select Helios Watches and Ethos Watches across India.
