Laguna Lang Co organizes Asia’s premier cycling event Coupe de Hue this year as Vietnam shines through in its scenic and refreshing glory.
With mountains jungle-clad and pristine waters of the East Sea, Vietnam is a dream destination for all things scenic and outdoors.
Laguna Lang Co, one of Asia’s most riveted resorts, is tending to the tourism in the country by supporting one of Asia’s biggest cycling events – Coupe de Hue in Vietnam.
The property has assembled a passionate “race team” that will assist the event in areas like logistics, safety, nutrition and consultation. Besides being the main sponsor, Laguna Lang Co has also partnered to help with developing and planning.
COUPE DE HUE – ALL ABOUT THE LUSH
Began only in 2018, Coupe de Hue has already established itself as one of Asia’s premier cycling events to look forward to.
Claimed as “Vietnam’s toughest road”, it lives up to its formidable naming.
This year the event is a lap of two challenges. The Bach Ma Laguna Challenge is the time trial race that takes place in the Bach Ma National Park on the first two days of the event. Competitors will be seen gearing from sea level to 1260 meters in just 15 kilometers.
After the epic Bach Ma will follow the Gran Fondo Hue where bikers will be wheeling for victory as they have to cross through total climbs of about 3100 meters!
The race shall come to a prestigious end in the city of Hue, Vietnam’s former capital, where the finish line will be placed right in front of the city’s famous citadel – also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Meters and meters of green glory always encapsulate the riders no matter what region they’re at.
With Australian former Tour-de-France winner Cadel Evans part of the line-up, Coupe de Hue is clearly approaching to make home in the World Grand Fondo Championship Calender.
“For riders in the event, having the chance to ride alongside a legend like Cadel Evans will be regarded as one of their most special moments,” added Les Walters, Director of Activities at Laguna Lang Co; also credited with the idea of Bach Ma challenge.
Numerous competitors shall be staying at the property’s two award-winning hotels – Banyan Tree Lang Co and Angsana Lang Co. Cadel Evans will be accommodated comfortably at the Banyan Tree Residences.
“The Coupe de Hue gives us the perfect chance to promote the area and showcase its natural beauty,” said Walters. “As the largest foreign investment in the province, Laguna Lang Co is committed to ensuring the success of such a significant event that will ultimately bring global attention to this region.”
Coupe de Hue will be commenced on 20th September (Friday) this week.
