Sunderbans Tiger Reserve, West Bengal
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous biosphere in India, it is home to the Royal Bengal Tigers also known as the human eaters. It was a water-logged jungle, in which tigers and other wild beasts abounded. Attempts at reclamation had not been very successful. The Sundarbans was everywhere intersected by river channels and creeks, some of which afforded water communication throughout the Bengal region both for steamers and for native ships. Also, The Sunderbans are a home saltwater crocodile, Ganges River dolphin, hawksbill turtle, mangrove horseshoe crab and olive ridley turtle.
Corbett Tiger Reserve, Uttrakhand
One of the oldest National Parks in India, Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve was made to protect the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger. With the sub-Himalayan belt geographical and ecological characteristics this eco-tourism destination contains 488 different species of plants and a diverse variety of fauna. Although, there are plentiful of Bengal Tigers, are not easily spotted due to the abundance of foliage – camouflage – in the reserve. During summer one can see the herds of elephants here, along with other animals like barking deer, sambar deer, hog deer, chital, sloth and Himalayan black bears.
Kanha Tiger Reserve

Sahyadri Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra

Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, Rajasthan
