In reality, it’s more like, “a fruit a day keeps the doctor away”. Fruits are packed with vitamins, minerals, and all the required nutrients that are essential not only for the well-being of your body but also for the beautiful, clear and glowing skin.

A facial is a family of skin care treatments for the face, including steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. They are used for general skin health as well as for specific skin conditions.

Fruit facials contain certain fruit acid like glycolic acid, alpha hydroxyl acid, citric acid, phenolic acid, vitamins and minerals in it. These acids are anti-blemish, antiwrinkle and help your skin to exfoliate, it highly detoxifies your skin, it excretes out all the toxins and it hydrates your face. These fruit facials have antioxidants, beauty nutrients, and enzymes in particular measure of quantity which gets your skin glowing and makes your skin look healthy.

There are two types of skin: Dry skin and Oily skin. Both the skin contains different types of conditions and characteristics.

Dry Skin Type

The most common characteristic is if you have a dry skin, your skin will be extra dry, flaky, dehydrated, you’ll have wrinkles on your skin and it will be glow less and dull. Your skin feels tight and you’ll have finer pores and finer lines. Oily Skin Type

You have an oily skin if your skin is greasy and shiny. You have enlarged pores and you’ll be likely to have scars or spots, pimples, blackheads and/or blemishes and to avoid these conditions a  person with oily skin should consume yellow fruits and should use them for facials also because vitamin C and A is available in yellow fruits. Fruits like orange, mango, peach, apricot, tomato, papaya etc.

Various fruits contain AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) which are in ester form and needs to be in free form for its instant effect on the skin. Most beauty parlors use a galvanic machine on the face itself which liberates free aha from the fruit pulp/juice and then provide deep penetration of these AHA’s into the skin with the help of massage and ultrasonic massage

Oatmeal, Baking soda, Lemon Juice and Rosewater face pack

Oats face pack for fair skin helps to rejuvenate your skin and speeds up circulation process, tightens it, bleaches it and also cleanses the entire face. Face packs are also beneficial to take out impurities, dead epidermis cells and impurities from your skin pores.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of oatmeal

1 tablespoons of baking soda

Squeeze fresh juice from ½ a lemon

1 tablespoon of rosewater

Blend the oatmeal and baking soda together and add lemon juice and rose water to it. Apply this pack all over your face and neck and massage it for about 10 minutes. Then wash it with lukewarm water.

Brown sugar and Milk/Curd/Honey face pack

Brown sugar is popularly used as the scrub for exfoliating and polishing your skin. It draws moisture from the environment and transfers it to the skin. It serves as a natural moisturizer which keeps the skin soft and at the same time hydrating.  It works to prevent and assuage problems of the tanned skin. Glycolic acid present in brown sugar is known to make the skin fairer. Those prone to acne can opt for brown sugar facials to prevent acne and pimples, and to capture that perfect selfie with glowing skin.

Mix milk/curd/honey and brown sugar in equal ratios. Apply the mixture to the face, neck area and massage in a circular motion till the sugar melts. This will remove dead skin from the applied area. Then wash it with lukewarm water and pat it dry.

Fruits pulps are to be used according to the skin type (oily & dry). These are some easily available fruits to pamper your skin with pure organic ingredients, which are totally free of toxins and not harmful to your skin in any way.

Banana: Bananas are packed with vitamin A, B and E. Its works as a natural anti-aging agent. Mash a fresh banana and mix it with oatmeal and apply this paste to your face. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse off your face with water. banana is the best fruit to rehydrate your skin.

Lemon:  Due to its vitamin C content, its juice will not only keep your skin beautiful but because of its astringent properties, you can use it to lighten your skin tone and reduce acne scars.

Apple: Apple keeps your skin young. Apples have antioxidant properties that can prevent cell and tissue damages

Orange: Oranges improve your skin texture and tighten your skin. Oranges are a rich source of vitamin C. It helps in removing your blemishes.

Papaya: It is a good source of antioxidant. It contains an enzyme known as papain which can slay dead skin cells and treat skin impurities. Simply mash a papaya and apply onto your skin.

Mango: Mangoes are rich in antioxidants. You can apply the soft pulp of mangoes onto your skin. It will slow down skin aging process; regenerates skin cells and restore the elasticity of your skin.
