The unnamed collector has kept this rare piece of golf set in impeccable condition till date. The golf set was so expensive because back in the day the irons were hand hammered.

This is one of the oldest manufacturers of golf club in the world, dated back to the 1700’s. At the Sotheby auction, this one-off club set was sold for $181,000. The shaft of the club set is made of gold, the grip is made of leather. The head is bestowed with crystals. This is an ideal set with smooth finishing and craft. The set of coated with 24-carat gold and comes in a cherry wood case. This set was once owned by golf collector Jeff B. Ellis. This club set is in a good condition and has survived for over 300 years.

SIMON-COSSAR FRUITWOOD METAL HEADED BLADE PUTTER

The Simon Cossar Fruitwood Putter is manufactured by the Cossar Club. It comprises of a metal headed blade putter that is believed to be a rare surviving example from the 18th century and an even rarer shaft that was made of fruitwood and hozel. At the 1998 auction, this set was sold at a whopping price of $165,000. Cossar Club is one of the world’s oldest golf club manufacturers as well as being one of the most prestigious ones.
