A decade ago, self-driving cars were a dream or something from a science- fiction movie. Today, semi-self-driving cars can already be seen on various roads across the world. Which further means that autonomous vehicles are no longer just a dream.
Autonomous basically means that the car is fully independent in taking crucial decisions and responding to different situations including emergencies as these don’t require any involvement from the driver. It is expected that a faster network like 5g would enable faster connections between transport systems, offering new applications for self-driving cars. These autonomous or self-driving cars would communicate with each other in the future making their
own decisions.
The abilities of these vehicle would mean that a fully connected and intelligent road system would be created. Regular updates for navigation, road maps, traffic situations, weather forecast would be extremely crucial. Developments in self-driving cars have already started with faster and a much dependable network and with new developments in both wireless and internet technologies these connected cars can improve our in-car comfort.
Ever since the wireless technology was first developed, the technology has seen some incredible advancements transforming lives. The speed at which the technology is developing is quite rapid to what is was in the 80’s and 90’s.
