The new cruiser bike weighs 40 kgs lighter, get a more powerful engine and is Rs 2 lakhs less than its predecessor.
Iconic British motorcycle maker, Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the all new Rocket 3 in both R and GT variants in India starting at Rs 18 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is only the R variant of the motorcycle that would come to India as of now. Triumph has managed to bring back the iconic model with a more powerful and elegant variant of the powerful cruiser.
The newly launched bike now sports a larger engine, more technology and lighter kerb weight. The bike has the largest displacement and is now 2 lakhs cheaper than the previous model. Powering the bike is an all-new 2.5 litre engine producing 165 bhp and 221 NM of torque that is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The all-aluminium frame reduces the overall weight of the bike by 40 kgs.
The new Triumph Rocket 3 gets four driving modes (road, rain, sport and rider-configurable) traction control, ABS, hill control and much more. The digital dash gets Bluetooth connectivity.
