This is a result-driven top-to-toe ‘pedi: facial’ has the spa lovers excited the world over. To discover more about this recent introduction at the Oriental Spa at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, read our feature.
The Oriental Spa at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has recently announced the launch of a new spa treatment that combines two therapies to reveal a ‘New You’. The Pedi: Facial Transformation treatment combines acclaimed French podiatrist Bastien Gonzalez’s signature foot care and a revolutionary non-surgical, non-intrusive alternative to a cosmetic facelift from leading German brand SEYO, which delivers intensive deep skin therapy.
The 60-minute Pedi: Facial Transformation treatment, at HKD2,400 (plus 10% service charge), takes place in the hotel’s Spa and starts with an assessment by two expert spa therapists who identify a guest’s personal needs. Ideal for busy people, the pedicure and facial are synced to maximize benefits.
Known as the “foot virtuoso”, Bastien’s world-famous BGA Pedicure is reputed as much for its medical benefits as for providing nail beauty and a relaxing, restorative foot massage. The pedicure includes reshaping and polishing toenails and skin with scalpels, lancets, and drills, buffing with a chamois leather (a technique passed down to Gonzalez by his grandmother), and finishing with diamond dust paste and chemical-free varnish to give each nail a healthy shine.
Favored by celebrities and other wearers of stilettos and high heels, the BGA Pedicure received the Prestige Beauty & Spa Award in 2017 and The World’s Best Pedicure by Forbes Lifestyle in 2015.
The SEYO Transdermal Application (TDA) treatment ensures active serums are safely absorbed deep below the surface of the skin on the face, neck, and décolletage, without even touching. Using patented mechanical and bioengineering technology, the entirely painless, treatment is ideal for all skin conditions and especially recommended for a mature, dull or damaged skin.
The SEYO TDA starts with a double cleanse, followed by a personal assessment and gentle micro-dermabrasion (removing dead skin cells with crystals and a vacuum) using three sapphire-tipped instruments. Then, a wand-like, contactless applicator pulsating with pure oxygen gently propels active serum from a few centimeters above the surface of the skin, so that it penetrates to the deepest layers of the skin. The oxygen and active ingredients combat hypoxia (oxygen deficiency) in the skin, reactivate natural beauty, texture, and luminosity, and smooth away lines. Intense hydration improves microcirculation, strengthening and regenerating cells and tissues while it soothes, moisturizes and rejuvenates. The results are immediately visible and long-lasting.
“Regularly adding cutting-edge, revolutionary new services, such as SEYO TDA, keeps us at the foreground of the world’s very latest spa and wellness advancements, reinforcing our position as the leading holistic and wellness spa in Hong Kong,” says Director of Spa & Wellness at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, Jessica Sardo.
Available until 31 July 2018, the Pedi: Facial Transformation treatment package also includes complimentary use of The Oriental Spa’s award-winning heat, water and relaxation facilities.
