At The Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, a motor race through the heart of the Principality of Monaco, visitors will witness the finest talent and fastest cars in the game, in addition to the tourist delights of the Riviera Gem. With the 5th edition of Monaco, E-Prix held last month, the 13th Grand Prix Historique to be held in mid-May, and the 79th Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix taking place from 26 to 29 May, the past, present, and future will come together in the streets of Monaco this month, as the Principality gets set to host an action-packed racing season.
Monaco’s highlight event of the year will take place amidst much fanfare and excitement. Since 1929, the prestigious Formula 1 race has been organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco, along a 3.34km temporary track that winds through the heart of Monaco itself. This unique and demanding circuit— the shortest of all the F1 world championship circuits—that stretches across the streets in the Port Hercules, Monte-Carlo, and Condamine districts has been conquered by some of the most accomplished champions of motor racing history.
The celebrations were flagged off on 30 April 2022, with the 5th edition of the Monaco E-Prix, which is dedicated to Formula E electronic vehicles. This will be followed by the Grand Prix Historique, which is held every other year and takes place from 13 to 15 May this year, on the same circuit as the Monaco Grand Prix. The F1 World Championship race will occur towards the end of the month, bringing together motorsports fans and international jet setters alike.
A trip to Monaco during this time guarantees intense experiences within an energetic atmosphere. The Principality is a global cultural epicentre for ballet, opera, music, theatre and exhibitions. Tourists also find ample opportunities for recreation at the tables of the Casino de Monte-Carlo, and the luxurious spas and iconic hotels that have hosted some of the world’s most discerning guests. With more than 100,000 visitors expected, the city’s population will triple over the course of the month. In light of the pandemic, the Principality is applying all precautionary measures to ensure higher levels of safety.
