1. Manish Malhotra Brings the Essence of Varanasi to Life with his collection ‘BANARAS’

The Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF) recently orchestrated a spectacular event in the heart of Varanasi, titled ‘Banaras – A Tapestry of Indian Culture and Craftsmen’. at the historic Namo Ghat in Varanasi. This initiative, spearheaded by the eminent designer Manish Malhotra, not only aimed to celebrate the rich tradition of Banarasi handloom but also to propel it onto the global stage. With his collection ‘BANARAS’, Malhotra skillfully amalgamated age-old craftsmanship with contemporary sensibilities, captivating audiences and dignitaries alike. The presence of Bollywood luminaries Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon added glamour to the affair, while 40 models adorned in Banarasi finery graced the runway.

2. Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner Launches In India

Kylie Cosmetics, the global beauty phenomenon founded by Kylie Jenner, announced its launch in India in partnership with House of Beauty. Starting April 25, 2024, Kylie Cosmetics will be available exclusively in 25 Sephora India stores nationwide and online. The beauty line is carefully crafted with clean formulations and vegan ingredients that deliver on trend, high-quality, high-pigment, and high-performance formulations. The launch collection includes the best-selling Matte and Velvet Lip Kits, as well as recent must-have launches such as Precision Pout Lip Liner, Power Plush Longwear Foundation, Kylash Volume Mascara, Power Plush Longwear Concealer and Tinted Butter Balm.

3. JW Marriott New Delhi Collaborates with Arts and Souls Foundation to Champion Autism Awareness

In observance of Autism Awareness Month, JW Marriott New Delhi joined forces with the Arts and Souls Foundation to illuminate the remarkable talents of children with autism. This collaborative endeavour provided a platform for the children to showcase their artistic prowess. The proceeds garnered from the sale of these artworks directly benefitted the Arts and Souls Foundation, empowering them to continue their impactful charitable endeavours. The artwork created by the children with autism is available for purchase from April 20th to April 26th at The Lobby Level, JW Marriott New Delhi.

4. A Gastronomical Voyage at Caraway Kitchen, Conrad Bengaluru

Conrad Bengaluru invites guests to partake in interactive workshops, live cooking stations, guided by culinary experts and exceptional delights at Caraway Kitchen on April 28, 2024. The culinary highlights include Chef Saravanan’s Mutton Dalcha and Thanjavour Kari Kuzhambu; Chef Kaustubh’s Malvani Fish Curry and Bharli Wangi; Chef Arindam Deka’s Chingri Posto Fry and Macher Jhol; and Chef Qureshi’s Awadhi delicacies like Nihari Ghost and Dum ka Murgh. 5. Paul Smith Launches its Spring/Summer’ 24 Collection

Paul Smith commemorated the debut of their Spring/Summer 2024 collection at the Paul Smith Jio World Drive. Embracing the concept of the ‘Modern Dandy’, the collection reimagines the suit in various iterations, blending classic pinstripe tailoring with nods to military uniforms and pyjama-inspired elements. With a nostalgic nod to the ’60s and ’90s, the tailored silhouettes boast high breakpoints and elongated forms. Playful twists on menswear staples like polkas, pinstripes, and herringbones, alongside innovative fabrications, create a dynamic visual narrative. Drawing inspiration from Lawrence of Arabia, the palette combines neutral tones with vibrant pops of raspberry, green, and yellow, infusing the collection with an air of timeless sophistication.

6. The Gourmet Bar Levels Up Leisure Time with “Brews & Bites”

The Gourmet Bar at Novotel Mumbai International Airport has introduced exclusive offers with the new “Brews & Bites” menu, where you can choose two glasses of beer from an array of draught beer selections and delicious appetisers, all for just INR 899 plus taxes. 7. Reliance Jewels Unveils the Vindhya Collection

Celebrating the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Reliance Jewels has introduced the Vindhya collection, offering a stunning array of jewellery pieces that pay tribute to the rich cultural heritage and architectural splendour of Madhya Pradesh. Fashion icon and Bollywood diva Disha Patani unveiled the exclusive festive collection at a special event at the Reliance Jewels store in Varanasi. Each piece is intricately crafted with designs inspired by famous monuments in Madhya Pradesh, such as the Gwalior Fort, the Stupa of Sanchi, the Mahakaleshwar Temple of Ujjain, and the Mitaoli and Bateshwar Temples.

8. Forlle’d, a Skincare Range Created in Japan, Launches in India

Forlle’d, a cutting-edge skincare brand originating from Japan renowned for its scientific foundation and clinical efficacy, has made its debut in India, advocating for scientifically driven, healthy skin. The launch event, held at Mumbai’s Soho House on April 18th, 2024, marks a significant milestone in the brand’s journey to redefine skincare excellence in the Indian market. 9. AJIO Unveils an Ethnic Collection Inspired by Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar

AJIO announced the exclusive unveiling of an ethnic collection inspired by Netflix and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Launched under AJIO’s House of Ethnics, this limited-edition collection will offer customers over 250 styles of ethnic outfits inspired by the series. The range encompasses fabrics like pure silk, tissues, georgettes, and brocades, among others. It includes skillfully crafted traditional dabka hand embroidery, Parsi embroidery, and beadwork, as well as digital prints inspired by the series. The women-focused collection consists of shararas, kurta suit sets, lehengas and saris. Moreover, the collection will also include official recreations of select attire that are adorned by the leading ladies in the show and designed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s team.

The show captivated the audience with a lineup of 40 exquisite gowns, including 10 pieces exclusively designed for the occasion. With designs inspired by the natural landscapes, architectural marvels, and the region’s rich heritage, the collection showcased innovative use of materials such as holographic elements, recycled plastics, and shattered glass. The collection also unveiled a stunning array of accessories, crafted with silver and gold to mirror the resilience and beauty of AlUla’s desert flora.

12. ‘Gandi Baat’ Curated by Swarup Dutta Highlights Design Activism

47 A’s upcoming show, titled Gandi Baat, curated by Swarup Dutta, centres around ‘Design Activism’. The ‘designer’ here plays the role of an ‘activist’, bringing into focus various political discourses, engaging the ‘user’ and igniting curiosity. The process fosters a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between design, activism, and politics.

13. American Couture Designer Mac Duggal Enters India with his Spring/Summer ‘24 Collection
