Audemars Piguet presents its brilliantly shocking and boldly unique Diamond Outrage

For 2017, boasting the power of her predecessors and hundreds of brilliant-cut diamonds, Audemars Piguet presents Diamond Outrage – the third and final design in the trilogy of one-of-a-kind Haute Joaillerie timepieces.

After 2015’s Diamond Punk and 2016’s Diamond Fury, Diamond Outrage is a cuff watch of rare, explosive style that marks a shift in artistic Haute Joaillerie watch design. It is presented in two unique 18-carat white gold pieces, fully set either with diamonds or with blue sapphires.

Glinting with the icy fascination of the Vallee de Joux in winter, Diamond Outrage’s structure is set with precious stones in a brilliant array of cuts. On the full diamond version, the inclusion of three baguette- set spikes shines a vibrant light on the outrageous character of this futuristic design.

Nature’s Secrets

Diamond Outrage’s distinctive glittering spikes in varying sizes (ranging from 29.30mm to 40mm) are created using the snow setting technique, where diamonds are set so carefully close together that the jewel’s white-gold frame is rendered almost invisible, creating a spellbinding, luminous effect.

Invisible setting, another rare technique, is used for each of the three distinctive baguette-cut diamond points featured on the full diamond version. Here, linear-cut diamonds appear to float, held perfectly in place as if no setting were required. It takes many years of training for an expert jeweller to acquire the necessary skills and master invisible setting.

The Diamond Outrage comes with quartz movement of 2701 Calibre.

The Diamond Outrage comes in an 18-carat white gold case, entirely set with diamonds or blue sapphires, and is glareproofed with sapphire crystal, airtight.
