TAG Heuer has released a special limited edition of the Monaco Gulf, of which just 50 have been produced. They have released this to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first victory of the Gulf Racing team of the 24hrs of Le Mans.
The Humber motorcycle, which has been restored by Philippe Renzini who is the Director of the Monaco Top Cars Collection and the Map which Prince Albert I of Monaco marked a route out in pencil on a map dating to the year 1904 are on display at the Collection. Tag Heuer is the Collection’s Official Watchmaker and took to the road like the Prince, from Monaco to the Var track in Le Luc, with Patrick Dempsey and a few special guests.
On reaching there they got the opportunity to drive some truly unique racing cars amongst which was a replica of the Ford GT40, used by the Gulf Racing team to win their first victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, exactly 50 years ago.
Tag Heuer in its attempt to celebrate the anniversary of the victory, released a special limited edition of the Monaco Gulf. Just 50 of the kind have been produced. The watch, with its famous 39 mm square casing and blue dial, features the iconic Gulf colors: light blue and orange. The back of the watch bears the Gulf’s anniversary emblem and its serial number XX/50. The watch is water resistant up to 100 meters and the strap is black perforated calfskin with orange stitching and lining.
