On a long day, a simple cup of coffee can help you unwind. While sticking to your usual recipe may seem like an easy way out, we have recipes that can help you relish every sip of your cup. Moreover, it does not take a lot of your time or require any fancy ingredients. With Espresso Day today, let’s get cracking!
1.) Espresso and Tonic
If you are a coffee fan and want to have a chiller on a warm day, espresso and tonic are a hit.
Ingredients:
– 1 lime or orange wedge
– 30 ml espresso
– 100 ml of tonic water
– 3 cubes of ice
Method:
Brew 30ml espresso, then let it cool down. In a large glass slowly pour it over tonic water with plenty of ice. Garnish with a lime wedge, if you like, before serving.
2.) Coconut Espresso Spritzer
A light drink to get you through the day…
Ingredients:
– Lime flavoured seltzer
– A shot of espresso
– Coconut milk
– Lime and coffee beans for garnishing
Method:
Add a dash of lime flavoured seltzer to a glass. Pour a shot of espresso on top. Froth coconut milk, adding it slowly over the espresso. Garnish with lemon and coffee beans.
3.) Coffee Affogato
Scream for Ice-cream!
Ingredients:
– Shot of an espresso
– Vanilla ice-cream
Method:
Throw some vanilla ice cream scoops in a fancy bowl you like and pour a hot, well-extracted espresso. Voila!
