A class apart
SWISS First: Comfort, luxury, peace, quiet and privacy are the hallmarks of SWISS First. The experience begins with separate check-in on arrival at the airport and dedicated lounges prior to departure. Once aboard, travellers are welcomed by attentive, caring flight attendants and amenities like comfort kits by Swiss luxury brand Bally with cosmetics by La Prairie, anti-noise headphones and top-quality pyjamas. The large cabin offers a genuine ‘suite above the clouds’ with a seat that turns into a fully flat bed. Thanks to the unique additional ‘guest seat’, SWISS First travellers can also have their partner or travel companion join them to eat or to work. In SWISS’s First Class, it’s the guest who decides when the kitchen is open. The gourmet restaurant aloft offers a full menu of up to five courses, all created by leading Swiss chefs.
SWISS Business: SWISS Business provides a thorough quality service such as priority boarding and business lounge access. On board, the innovative seating concept, giving customers high degrees of privacy, features a seat with pneumatic air cushion whose firmness can be adjusted to individual taste, and which can be converted into a totally lie-flat two-metre bed for a restful sleep. Benefit from greater privacy, roomier seats, and more armrest and table space. Experience high-quality video and imaging with the entertainment system’s large monitors, electronic connectors, USB port and iPod connector
SWISS Economy: Excellent value for money, outstanding and charming service and a special touch for families; these are the calling cards of the SWISS Economy product. On intercontinental flights, the adjustable seat headrest and swivel ears offer optimum long-haul comfort. On the Airbus A330-300, the seat is also provided with special ergonomic padding for an even more comfortable flight. On the inflight cuisine front, SWISS Economy guests can choose from varied meal options, while the SWISS kids’ menu is a perennial favourite with younger Economy travellers. Great entertainment options with new films, TV shows and soundtracks to choose from enhance your SWISS Economy experience.
A platter to remember
‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’ is the airline’s innovative culinary concept that showcases the cooking and specialties of its home country’s various regions. Each chapter in the programme sees a top Swiss chef from a particular canton develop signature offerings from their region with accompanying wines, which are then served on board for a three-month period.
The concept has proved highly popular with passengers, and has also earned the Mercury Award, the inflight catering sector’s highest accolade, for its innovative approach. The notable initiative was further expanded when SWISS concluded a long-term partnership with Hiltl, the renowned vegetarian restaurant. As a result, SWISS travellers in all three seating classes can now enjoy sophisticated vegetarian creations.
Hub Zurich: Where comfort comes first
Classy, contemporary infrastructure, short walking distances and optimum transfer times make Zurich Airport a popular hub for a seamless experience in European and intercontinental air transport. Zurich Airport offers one of the fastest transit times, and SWISS guests require only 40 minutes to make their connections between flights.
To top this amazing experience, SWISS also has on offer for its patrons nine superlative lounges at the Zurich Airport, which guarantee comfort, calm and a relaxed atmosphere far away from the usual humdrum of the airport.
SWISS First Lounge E: The First Lounge offers pure luxury. Two hotel rooms, a conference room, mini suites, a champagne bar and two restaurants ensure that visitors enjoy every comfort, while appreciating the views from the 352 m² of the terrace.
Senator Lounge E: The 1100 m2 expanse of the Senator Lounge comprises quiet zones, a dining area and its own whisky bar. Recliners and a reading area offer intellectual stimulation and relaxation, with a view of the runway. The exclusive whisky bar in the Senator Lounge comes well-appointed with 120 different whisky varieties from all over the world. The bar is also available to First Class customers.
SWISS Business Lounge E: A novel concept with bright, open areas and quiet zones with recliners provides comfort and relaxation in SWISS Business Lounge. There are showers for passengers who wish to freshen up. You can admire the breath-taking Swiss Alpine panorama from the terrace, and watch the aircraft’s movements right from up close.
