‘One of the most fascinating things about golf is how it reflects the cycle of life. No matter what you shoot – the next day, you have to go back to the first tee and begin all over again and make yourself into something.’ – Peter Jacobsen.

The 2021 edition of Precious Golf was held on the 19th of February at The Qutub Golf Course, New Delhi. The playing slots got full within 4 days of the announcement of the tournament and we had 108 golfers – a mix of corporate, men, and women – all passionate about golf came to try their hand.

Incredible India, took a firm step to suggest that we are open for business and promoted the game and its courses within India, of course, that’s the theme this year – Vocal for Local!

Innovation Partner, MG Motors India, not only had its President & MD Rajeev Chaba playing but they also showcased their new offerings to the India market – their first Electric Vehicle MG ZS EV along with the new Hector.

In her opening address Parineeta Sethi, Chief Editor, PeakLife said, “It’s always good to be back in the greens. It’s not just the golfers but us – nongolfers too missed the game. It’s also ironic that in today’s era of social distancing, Golf always has followed social distancing! In the 2021 edition of Precious Golf, we have opened it up for men as well, and together – we aim to get a good game and a perfect score to take it forward”.

Joining her was Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer MG Motors India who joined the dots between Precious Golf and MGM’s association. He mentioned that Golf is about the drive, your short game, and your putting, in the car industry, the vehicles that MGM has to offer are electric, autonomous and you’ve got internet connectivity.

Rajan Sehgal, Chairman, TAAI-NR (Travel Agents Association of India) and President, IGTA (India Golf Tourism Association) who has done a lot for tourism and in particular golf tourism in India believes that golf courses were the first to open in India after lockdown and are running at full capacity, following all the standard operating procedures. Golf tourism will be the future of the tourism industry in the coming season and domestic golf will play a major role in a big way and it is the right time to promote Indian states.”

Players also shared what Golf meant to them in an interesting video chat as PeakLife moments. Ashish Bugra, Promoter, Globex Consultancy Services said that Golf to him was Nirvana while Maya, Founder, Maya Culture told that she took the sport after landing in India from London and from there has been no looking back.

According Kaushik Bellani, “Golf is as precious as life and gives a perfect platform for networking and business opportunities.”

Golfers did not just put their passion out for the cup but there were other exciting prizes as well to be won! Right from a holiday at The Heritance Arah, Maldives to a stay at JustaMukteshwar there was something for all – if they got lucky enough!
