The hopped-up and much anticipated launch of the new OnePlus devices landed up to our expectations. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro were scheduled to launch in London, New York, and Bengaluru simultaneously on 14th of May. The live streaming of the events made it accessible for everyone to join OnePlus on this remark-full day, when after 5 years the company had released two handsets in the same flagship series.
The event launched not one but 3 new products namely, OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7. The launch has braced India by its exciting news where, India will be privileged to have the first ever batch of specific region which will be available as a beta version from next month. It announced the emergence of experience stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune. What really made us excited was that, Hyderabad’s OnePlus store will be the biggest OnePlus store in the world with 6 floors and a dynamic design which changes the building structure according to the sunset and sunrise pattern.
Dodging all the leaks and rumors, here are the specification of all the three products launched.
OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 is the upgraded version for getting the chills. It is has escalated from Backstreet Boy’s I want it that way to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. The listening experience has been enhanced for every type of audio received by the phone, whether videos or calls. It lowers the background noise, and even the tiniest detail can be heard way more accurately than before. It is Warp charge compatible and gives users 10 hours of playback time with just 10 minutes of charge. It is designed to give you the beats, fits comfortable and switches on with just double taps.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is a sleek, curved on the edges, aesthetically pleasing device. It is made available in three colours- Nebula Blue, Mirror Grey, and Almond.
The phone screen has no hole, no nudge, no gimmicks, just pure screen which is ultra-smooth, accompanied with maximum brightness, screen uniformity, contrast and colour accuracy. The Fluid AMOLED brings the device in 6.7 inches, 93% body ratio and 3120 x 1440 resolution. The display supports HDR content and has 516-pixel density. The refresh rate is 90 Hz which means the content scrolling has been made 50% smoother than the previous version, and where every scroll feels direct, responsive and super smooth. Horizon light has been added to the device which will send rays of light coming out if the edges whenever the user will receive a notification. Also, new Blue Light feature in the device reduces the strain on eyes.
The camera has a front facing pop-up camera with 16 MP, pops up in 0.53 seconds, and has tremendous durability which was proved by the cement test and 12 hours of opening and closing of pop up video on YouTube. It has an interesting feature where the pop-up camera when opened and the device slips off from the user’s hand, will automatically detect the fall and gets right back inside to prevent the damage.
On the back, Triple Camera set up replaces the needs of DSLR. The three cameras, Ultra-wide-angle lens, Telephoto lens, and Main lens captures the three modes of focus- PDAF, CAF & Laser AF. The back camera has 48 MP, Sony IMX 586 which gives 29% increase in surface area and 72% increased effective pixel. The sensor absorbs more light than OnePlus 6T. The three cameras give a view of 117 degree, 3x Optical zoom, and each lens having different aperture lens to provide the highest quality pictures ever taken from a OnePlus device. It has a Google Lens in the camera which can be accessed quickly from camera application just by long pressing the image and thus, Google search appears.
Talking about the performance, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 955, a 7-nanometer chipset, which makes the device 45% faster and 20% more power efficient than before. It has up to 12 GB RAM & RAM Boost which makes the heaviest of app run smoothly. 4000 mAh is more than what one can ask for when talking about battery of the device. The Warp charges faster than regular 6T, charging 40% in just 20 minutes. The Android Q will be compatible to be installed, too.
It has introduced Liquid Cooling System and Dual speakers by DOLBY ATMOS which makes turns gaming in to a serious business. The vibrating motor has changed according to the functions like while gaming, typing or receiving notifications.
The Navigation Gestures takes 70 milliseconds of animation making the gestures smoother. The 7 Pro has a Zen mode where the device helps you in reconnecting with yourself by disconnecting you from your device. This mode last for 20 minutes and only allows to receive calls, make emergency calls, and access the camera.

The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro doesn’t have really much of a difference in their design appeal and also, their camera features are the same. It is available in Mirror Grey and the iconic OnePlus colour Red which is the colour of passion, action and energy for OnePlus. It has OnePlus Performance DNA Inheritance which makes it one step ahead of other devices. It has almost the same features as 7 Pro like the Universal Flash Storage (UFS) of 3.0, Dual Speakers, and fast charging. The only key difference is that the processor used in 7 is Snapdragon 855.

The event was marked with OnePlus in partnership with Netflix & Sacred Games for an optimum viewing experience for the users. Also, with Fnatic for ultimate gaming experience. Amazon India’s VP, Manish Tiwary marked his presence by connecting Amazon & OnePlus together who focuses primarily on Customers. Andy Bardon, National Geographic photographer proved the OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera ability.
OnePlus pop-ups will be available in Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad from May 15th. And the first ever experience store will be first opened in Select City Walk Saket, from May 17th-June 16th.
