Omega introduces the Trilogy limited edition from 1957– 60th Anniversary Timepieces.
Marking the 60th Anniversary Omega honours three professional timepieces making it an absolute classic.
1957 was a landmark year for Omega with the release of genius timepieces the Seamaster 300, the Railmaster and the Speedmaster. This year Omega is paying tribute recreating the three for the 60th Anniversary, the trio can be acquired in a beautiful set of three.
Seamaster:Based on the CK2913, this new Seamaster 300 comes with 39 mm diameter case. Also features a black aluminium bezel and retains the famous Naïad sign on the crown, which back in ’57 was a mark of exceptional water resistance. The 2017 model is powered with Master Chronometer 8806.
Railmaster: The 1957 Railmaster was designed for those working close to electrical fields; and though the new model retains the original’s unpretentious style, its Master Chronometer 8806 movement takes antimagnetic to a whole new level, resisting fields of 15,000 gauss. The Railmaster comes with dial of 38mm diameter and water resistance of 60 meters.
Speedmaster: The “Broad Arrow” was not only the first Speedmaster; it was also the first chronograph wristwatch in the world with its tachymeter scale on the bezel as opposed to printed on the dial. With its perfect match of the original ’57 tachymeter, this 2017 Speedmaster stays true to this design. It is powered by the 1861 calibre.
A unique digital scanning technology, used by OMEGA for the first time, supplied the Swiss watchmaker with accurate representations of the original watches. These invaluable cross-sections and dimensions, along with drawings of the original models, served as design templates for the new watches, which, though slightly revised for the 21st century, remain true to the spirit of ’57.
Each watch is limited to 3,557 pieces and delivered inside a presentation box inspired by the original 1957 packaging, right down to the Seahorse on the lid, a retro logo and red corduroy lining. The presentation box contains two spare straps; leather and NATO, as well as a tool to change them.
