ODE Helping Kids with Learning Disabilities
ODE was founded in 1999 by Bharati Kapoor, a Counselling Psychologist, Educational Consultant and Healer with the objective to work with children suffering from Learning Disabilities – Slow Learners, Autistic and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder – as she realized that there was no support system for this particular group of children in mainstream education system, north of Delhi. As a result, these children are forced to either struggle to cope and fit into the ‘mould’ or leave. ODE aims to fill this void by opening an inclusive school for these children, supported by a Teacher Training Institute & Research Centre which will provide practical training and knowledge to effectively support children with Learning Disabilities.
