  1. Schorschbräu’s Schorschbock 57

This is one of the strongest beers available at the moment and is part of an arms race that has been going on between Brewmister, BrewDog, and Schorschbräu to brew the strongest beer. Though the German brewer wanted a higher ABV, these were not feasible as it would have violated the 500-year Germanic beer purity law. Only 36 bottles of the Schorschbräu Schorschbock 57 were ever made. With ABV by 57.5%, the beer was priced $ 275 per bottle.

This famous beer brand named End of History is known for be produced by the BrewDog that presents strength and luxury. Only 12 bottles were ever made, and each is stuffed into taxidermied roadkill; seven stoats, four squirrels, and one hare, to be exact. The End of History has a high ABV of 55% higher compared to any other beer and the Bottle cost around $ 765.

Samuel Adams’ Utopias is the only American brewed beer that makes it to the top five most expensive beers. It was named in honor of the American revolutionary hero, Samuel Adams’ Utopias was first produced in 2002 with an ABV of 24% which was eventually increased to 27%. The ingredients of this classy and costly beer comprise of the Vienna, Moravian, Caramel, Bavarian smoked malt along with fermented fruit that makes it taste distinctive and elusive than other beer brands. Every year, a limited number of bottles are released. The beer is packed in ceramic bottles that resemble cooper finished brewing kettles and cost $150 per bottle.

Sapporo’s Space Barley was discovered after the Japanese and Russian scientist found they could grow barely in space. While it was all a part of research to study the possibility of self-sustenance in space, Sapporo went ahead and brewed the barley to make this beer called Space Barley. Crown Ambassador Reserve (9.2% ABV) is a full-bodied, rich lager-style beer. Each bears the signature of Master Brewer – John Cozens – who meticulously oversees the entire brewing process. The beer was matured in Swedish and French oak barrels for six months before being bottled. Only 600 bottles each year were produced during the three years Carlsberg brewed this variety, from 2008 to 2010. According to brewmaster Morten Ibsen, the taste experience is both full and nuanced. “The beer has a golden, bubbly appearance. It gives a warm feeling on the palate and has a nearly ‘fat’ fullness that reveals the beer’s close kinship with sweet desert wines.” Price: $400 per bottle
