Lexus New Delhi dealership opens at Janpath

Lexus comes up with its New Delhi dealership at a strategic location to create a one of a kind customer experience.

The Lexus, division of Toyota launched its Showroom in Delhi. Being located in the prime area of Lutyens Delhi, the Lexus New Delhi showroom identifies with the opulence and tranquility of the Lutyens area itself. The location of the showroom has been diligently chosen.

With the Japanese concept of ‘Omotenashi’ that each member of the Lexus New Delhi team abides by, Siddharth Gupta, Managing Director at Lexus New Delhi (MGF) wanted the showroom to be located in an area, which is central and easily accessible for each customer to have a transient journey to.

Keeping in mind the aphorisms of Akio Toyoda, Chief Branding Officer & Master Driver, Lexus International “We don’t just transport people; We transport their senses”, Gupta, an interior design mogul, has designed and developed the Lexus showroom.

Their primary objective behind the designing was to create a lavish gallery/lifestyle space, which would offer a scintillating experience for their guests, by not only emphasizing the sheer focus on the aesthetics, but also by leaving a lasting impression on the visitor. Based on the Lexus brand vision, his effort was to create an environment that delivers on simplicity of ergonomics, yet combining it with elegance and sophistication.

In order to complement the design and precision of the Lexus vehicles on display, Gupta took inspiration from some of the greatest design icons of the 20th century across the globe, to develop the aesthetic culture of the showroom. Where some elements of the showroom take their styling cues from Piet Mondrian’s works, an artist is celebrated for reflecting the underlying spirituality of nature in his works; the lounge furniture has been inspired form the works of noted Japanese- American woodworker George Nakashima.

The pictures in the meeting room at Lexus New Delhi are of two iconic structures in Chandigarh, designed by Le Corbusier. Le Corbusier, considered to be a pioneer in ‘Modern Architecture’, prepared the master plan for the city of Chandigarh and contributed specific designs for several buildings there. His outstanding contribution to the “Modern Movement” was Gupta’s motivation to showcase his innovations.

Attention to such minute details is what sets this luxury brand apart from its competitors, and will definitely prove to be a game changer in the Indian luxury car segment.
