A trip to majestic, isolated Antarctica is truly the journey of a lifetime. With Antarctica at the risk of environment degradation, the more people who witness this incredible place can only result in increased awareness of the importance of our environment and doing all we can to protect it.

The bespoke travel outfitter Natural World Safaris is taking a 13-day photographic expedition to the continent, led by Canon accredited wildlife photographer Andy Rouse. Travelling on-board the M/V Akademik Ioffe, this expedition will offer seven full days on the continent – two more than most standard Antarctic expeditions – as well as longer tundra landings by zodiac to understand this magical destination.

Calving icebergs, breaching whales, deep-diving seals and cavorting penguins are just a few of the marvellous sights visitors can expect to encounter. Renowned photographer emphasise the adventure that it is to survive on this, the most extreme continent. Then there are the intangibles: space, silence, remoteness and dramatic vistas which can be captured.

The journey to Antarctica is not just an ordinary; you get an excellent-service on board including, Gym, on-deck hot tub. You will also have specialised lectures, workshops and on-the-ground training from Andy will ensure guests learn how to capture and preserve it on film also another expert Photographer Andrew James.
