IWC Schaffhausen: Luxurious picks for the festive season

IWC Schaffhausen introduces its 150 years special edition for the festive season.

Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 Edition

The Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 Edition “150 Years” takes up the tradition of elaborately decorated jewellery watches. This was a style the company cultivated towards the end of the 1980s and during the 1990s with models like the diamond-set Lady Da Vinci in yellow gold, Reference IW8435. Two limited-edition models are available, each restricted to 50 watches:
– 18-carat white gold, white dial with lacquered finish, blued hands
– 18-carat red gold, white dial with lacquered finish, blued hands
Both timepieces have a moon phase display at “12 o’clock”. The watches’ case and moving lugs are paved with 206 pure white diamonds amounting to 2.26 carats.

Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “150 Years”

The Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “150 Years” is the only model in the collection with an annual calendar. Production is limited to 100 watches:

–  Stainless steel, blue dial with lacquered finish, rhodium-plated hands

The annual calendar has an American-format display for the month, date, and day in three separate windows on the dial and requires adjustment only once a year at the end of February. The Pellaton winding of the IWC-manufactured calibre 52850 comes with wear-proof ceramic components and generates a 7-day power reserve in two barrels. The movement is visible through the sapphire-glass back.

IWC Tribute to Pallweber Edition “150 Years”

This is a reference to the design of the historic Pallweber watches and a tribute to F. A. Jones – the American watchmaker who founded IWC – the windows of the digital display are labelled as “Hours” and “Minutes”. A total of 25 watches will be made in platinum, 250 in red gold and 500 in stainless steel:

–  Platinum, white dial with lacquered finish, blue display discs, blued seconds hand – 18-carat red gold, white dial with lacquered finish, white display discs, blued seconds hand– Stainless steel, blue dial with lacquered finish, white display discs, rhodium plated seconds hand.
