Here how you can make your LinkedIn profile active and visible to recruiters.
1. Complete your profile
It’s a must your LinkedIn profile should be updated with the complete details. Giving your education background and work profile helps recruiter. You can use options like work experience and your internships with the proper details. Take time to fill in proper details starting from summary to photos.
2. Choose right photo
Your picture is the first think which attracts the recruiter. So, it is best you choose a recent picture and you face visible properly and should be yours. Avoid using to much of light on your face or expression. Keep it simple your eyes should speak.
3. Attractive Headline
The headline on the top of the page should always not be a job title. It should be more creative and catchier with how you describe yourself. You can take references from similar job post and create your own job here.
4. Make relevant connection
Having connection with people from your industry and field helps find your profile easily. One can also connect with people while inviting them to connect with them. In a way it helps expand your network on LinkedIn and professionally.
5. Update Summary
Never leave the summary column or fill it with your skills, instead make it more interesting. Keeping the doors open for the recruiters. Work on few drafts to improvise the summary and update it.
6. Verify your skill batch
Add right skills to your profile and add in a way that your ex-colleagues can endorse you. Choose only limited and right skills to define yourself.
7. Add Work done
Make your profile more interesting using slides shows, photos to enhance it. You can add links to your websites or work links in a form of white paper and case studies from the brands yo have worked.
8. Request for recommendations
It is time you request your colleagues and people who have worked with you for recommendation. You can get recommendation in terms of being a team player or the working style. Also highlight specific abilities and skills through this.
9. Start following the industry influencers
While you use LinkedIn, start following some of the experts in your field and influencers. Share their experiences and relevant information along with your post. This helps in promoting you interest and thoughts.
