HP launches 3D printer in India

HP formally announced the launch of its Multi-Jet Fusion 3D printing solution in India for 2.5 crores.

Hewlett-Packard Inc. on Wednesday announced the commercial availability of its 3D printing solution in India that it said would help usher in a digital manufacturing transformation.

HP’s new Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing solution is a production-ready commercial 3D printing solution that claims to deliver superior-quality physical parts up to 10 times faster and at half the cost of current 3D printing systems.

According to the company, 3D printing has the potential to unlock unprecedented economical potential and disrupt virtually every part of the $12 trillion global manufacturing industry.

Coming in two different variants- called the HP Jet Fusion 3D 3200 and Jet Fusion 3D 4200, the new 3D printing solution by HP are designed to support a large variety of fusing and detailing agents. Further, HP’s 3D printing solution comes with a built-in thermal controlling function to enable predictive corrections voxel by voxel for optical mechanical properties. The printer has a touchscreen panel that allows users to monitor in-printer quality checks and eventually minimise errors in finished results.

HP has integrated wireless connectivity support within the Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing solution to offer customers with remote monitoring. Also, there are in-box software solution, namely HP SmartStream 3D Build Manager and Command Center, to make it easy for designers to bring the final part of their innovations in a short span of time.
