Leading British menswear brand Hackett shares some insights into dressing up and getting noticed during the summer wedding season. With Hackett’s expertise in formal men’s dressing, here’s how to be the best-dressed man at a summer wedding…
Weddings might have a serious underpinning (the whole “I do” for the rest of our lives, thing), but they’re also a seriously good excuse for a party – and, therefore, a seriously good excuse to go for something totally different than the sort of suit you’d usually wear for work. Whether you’re a groom or guest, nothing says “party suit” better than something bursting with bold color.
Color
When it comes to color, bold doesn’t mean eye-searingly bright – we’re not advocating anything in lime green or turquoise that, trust us, will not be your proudest moment when you look back at the photos in the years to come.
Go for a color that is classic, but also pushes your office color comfort zone – say, a sandy suite with a pastel shirt, a baby blue blazer slipped on with smart white trousers or a totally tonal (and totally on-trend) pink on pink shirt and jacket combination.
The Materials
And be sure to invest in the right materials. Here at Hackett London, we’ve taken your body temperature in the blazing sun into consideration by concentrating on cutting out tailoring from breathable materials like linen, cotton and light wool mixes.
Trust us, our ideas below have been put together to not only help you look cool but feel cool all day long – even when you’re heating up the dance-floor at 1 am. Party on.
