Peaklife felicitates women who have challenged the time and made their mark, at an extravagant evening with the launch of the PEAKLIFE Magazine- Women Special Edition.
In keeping with the tradition of toasting achievements of trailblazers, PeakLife honoured exemplary women from varied walks of life to mark its special Women’s Day edition. The issue was unveiled on March 8, 2019 as part of the Audi Quattro Cup 2019 felicitation ceremony, on the lush lawns of Willingdon Sports Club in mid-town Mumbai.
In pursuit of its commitment and passion for the swish sport of golf, Audi India has been powering the most coveted, and largest amateur golf tournament series since 1991 when the event was conceived in Germany. Since then, the Audi Quattro Cup has become a red-letter event on the Indian corporate golf calendar, bringing in stellar opportunities to network in the upmarket segment together with treasured opportunities to experience the cornucopia of luxury wheels from the house of Audi India.
This year, glamour, golf and luxury poured in to make for a starry night at the event sponsored by the German luxury car maker. Shimmering trophies to felicitate the winners together with gleaming awards to root for women trailblazers formed the dazzling array of laurels carefully arranged on the rambling stage. PeakLife magazine celebrated Women’s Day by bringing in high wattage celebrities including singer, mental health campaigner and entrepreneur Ananya Birla, fitness expert Nawaz Modi Singhania, wellness entrepreneur Kiran Bawa, award winning cookbook author Maria Goretti, socialite Aarti Surendranath, celebrity and image management pro Rohini Iyer, skin specialist and cosmetic dermatologist Dr Rashmi Shetty, pilates expert Namrata Purohit, fashion designer Pria Kataaria Puri, food critic and author Rashmi Uday Singh, actress Raveena Tandon, fitness trainer Deanne Pandey… all immensely sought after individuals in their chosen professions. It was truly a star-studded evening as singer Gary Lawyer crooned succesive numbers in his warm, smooth voice in sync with a live band to set the mood for a magical celebration of woman power as cocktails and luxe nibbles flowed to play up the magic that made up the night.
Celebrities including actor Rahul Dev, and choreographer Sandeep Soparrkar were called upon to give away the trophies, together with Parineeta Sethi, Chief Editor PeakLife and Rahil Ansari, Managing Director Audi India.
Parineeta Sethi, Chief Editor, PeakLife, says “Incredible developments happen when women support women and this special evening was a collective experience of toasting all the achievements of our trailblazers We honoured many fair accomplished individuals with awards for their display of guts, gumption and proficiency in their area of expertise and stand committed to championing the laurels of all women entrepreneurs in the future as well.”
The young singer and entrepreneur Ananya Birla, who graced the cover of the special Women’s Day edition of PeakLife, spoke eloquently about her own measure of success and challenges in life. The evening kicked off with smooth renditions as the bar menu for the sundowner deepened into the night with the sheen of excitement, and glamour taking over in full swing.
