Bringing the local flavours of Macao to India with a Macanese Masterclass.
PEAKLIFE and Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) in association with Shangri-La’s-Eros Hotel, New Delhi hosted a Macanese Masterclass, to enlighten people with the delectable Macanese cuisine.
Chef Neeraj Tyagi, EAM Food & Beverages, brilliantly taught the guests, how to prepare Macanese dishes like the African Chicken, Veg Minchi, Egg Tarts and Dim Sums. “Macanese food is inspired from a blend of Portuguese and South Chinese. When I recently visited Macao, I was impressed by the way they use ingredients. The cuisine is very delicate with its use of Chinese ingredients, a strong influence of Portuguese and a sense of African. Also, they use a lot of Indian Ingredients like curry powder & coconut milk,” explains Chef Neeraj Tyagi.
This interesting and engaging masterclass was attended by food and lifestyle bloggers, along with few of our brand friends. While few of them got chance to try their hand in helping Chef and learn the finesse required in cooking Macanese food; the guests also got chance to relish the Macanese cuisines prepared by the Chef and his team.
PeakLife begins the journey with Macao, exploring more at Gourmet Awards on 30th August, followed by Macanese Food Festival scheduled from 30th August to 6th September 2019 at Shangri-La’s-Eros Hotel, New Delhi.
