World’s first ever Digital Dress sold for $9,500 USD.
The booming world of technology has delivered a number of advancements over the past few years and now this technological world has partnered with the world of fashion by introducing world’s digital couture dress.
The Garment, which only exists virtually was unveiled by the Dutch startup ‘The Fabricant’ and is titled ‘Iridescence’. The digitized piece of fashion was auctioned and sold for $9,500 on the Ethereal cryptocurrency blockchain, using the amalgamation of 2D garment pattern cutting and 3D design with rendering software, the hyperreal haute couture clothing item worn by Jaskowska appears to allure the entire generation of fashionistas out there.
The fabricant describes itself as ‘uploading humans to the next level of existence’ and the iridescence outfit with a height of fourteen inches is referred to an outfit from a different dimension. The fine line between real and virtual is turning blurred especially with the advent of this digitized couture. It’s unsurprising that virtual fashion is a thing now.
