YOUnion, the all-day bar, and Massive Restaurants’ newest opening is Zorawar Kalra’s homage to the millennials – or Generation Y.

After packing in the oomph and glamour into gourmet gospels, Zorawar Kalra of Massive Restaurants moves away from fine dine to bring in the edgy, zippy and zany Younion. Call it an ode to the millennials, a mix of a shot bar, a high energy hangout, or a spot that packs in the verve and the wicked vibe in Instgrammable food, decor, drinks. Scoop up the top five reasons to swing through Younion today…

GET SHOT

Ok, so Younion packs in the country’s biggest booty in the largest shot bar (with over 200 mind boggling variations) Knock it down in quirky glasses, ranging from skeleton faces to high heeled shoes to cactii clasps. Kalra ups the drama in keeping with his earlier outing in Masala Bar, through whacky serve ups. The Stormtrooper cocktail pours itself lazily in a sexy, helmet-shaped glass– designed by none other than THE Andrew Ainsworth (for the uninitiated: the prop maker who made the original helmets for the popular movie in the Star Wars franchise) Woohoo!

DECOR DARE

Selfie points abound in the complexion of Younion, with overhanging foliage, a bright rush of flowers, a colossal gold cage, tropical prints and rushing neon everywhere. Devilish mirrors lend the space an expansive feel darting in between the soothing greens and the running walls. And there is a generous balcony for the puffers too.

VEGGIE VERVE

If you thought the Massive life was all about galouti kebabs and charcoal chicken, think again. The vegetarian pulse is celebrated with a ritzy spin on the menu. Dig into Shudh Shakahari picks with dhokla, kachori, khakra, dhai ghatiya, and even chai and a multitude of java brews canoodling for your attention

MY, MY, MAGGIE!

Your comfort food emerges in spanking naughty versions that go well beyond the simple tadka. The monsoon is perfect to dip into the variations available on the noodle front in Maggi aglio e olio with olive dust; Maggi Bolognese with roast garlic edamame; and Four Cheese Bake Maggi. Lipcurling and simply yummy in terms of tummy fills. Did we mention community platters?

VALUE FOR MONEY

The music is fabulous with euphoric beats and electronic mixes livening up the pulse of the place. Prices are modest, in keeping with the small plates concept. You get to taste the whimsical in serve ups like keto waffle with chocolate keto ice cream, fresh guava ice-cream with desi mirch gel…And Kalra mentions, “We are also in the process of developing a drink now and pay later scheme, where you can spend your whole month drinking and pay your bill at the end of the month when your salary comes.” What more could your little heart desire?
