Day 1 Top Launches At Auto Expo 2020

The 15th Edition of Auto Expo, India saw a plethora of new launches from various automakers from all over the world.

Maruti Suzuki Futuro-e

Maruti Suzuki unveiled their new Futuro-e-concept at their stand. This concept SUV was shown as an all-electric vehicle could also support hybrid powertrains also. This SUV would lay the foundation as to how the future of Maruti Suzuki could look like in India.

Hyundai Tucson FL

Receiving more styling tweaks, more equipment and BS-VI compliant engines, the new Hyundai Tucson could give a run for money to its competitors. Expected to be launched in March, the new Tucson could be available with a single clutch automatic transmission.

MG RC 6

MG Motors unveiled their striking RC 6 sedan at their stand which is expected to arrive in India in March next year. The sedan will rival most prominent brands here and would be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo engine that also powers the MG Hector SUV.

Kia Sonet

This is the third model to be launched in India by the South Korean manufacturer. Scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2020, the Sonet is likely to share its engine options with the Hyundai Venue.

Kia Carnival

Kia Motors announced the prices for the Carnival MPV at the Auto Expo. The model’s range starts from Rs 24.95 lakh for the 7-seat Premium version and goes up till Rs 33.95 lakh for the 7-seat Limousine variant. (ex-showroom, India).

Haval Concept H

Making its much anticipated debut at Auto Expo this year was China’s Great Wall Motor Company. Unveiling Haval Concept H, the model shoed its future midsize SUV for the Indian market.

Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door

Mercedes-AMG launched the GT 4-Door Coupe at Auto Expo in its full-blown 63 S guise, with prices starting at Rs 2.42 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India). The new model is powered by a 639hp, 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine and will be brought to India as a completely built-up unit (CBU).

New A sedan

Replacing the CLA in India, Mercedes unveiled the all new A-Class sedan at Auto Expo this year in the guise of AMG A35. Ex-showroom price is expected to be around Rs. 32-40 lakh.
