Cities in the USA that never sleep

Here are a few lesser-known, but just as exciting, party destinations in USA.

The USA is a destination with an incredible variety of things to do and places to see. For many, however, there is one caveat that is absolutely necessary when planning a trip: the ability to party! Fortunately, the US has no shortage of destinations with vibrant cultural scenes and exciting nightlife, and while you certainly know of places like Los Angeles, New York City and Las Vegas to be typical party destinations, here are a few lesser-known, but just as exciting, party destinations.

Atlanta, Georgia

When the sun sets, Atlanta nightlife starts heating up! Consider Atlanta nightlife the ultimate melting pot of fun. Many visitors’ journeys begin in Downtown Atlanta, where there’s always something going on. Or choose between the laid-back vibes of Atlanta’s Eastside or Westside, the chic style in Buckhead, a trendy scene in Midtown. No matter what style of nightlife you’re craving, you’re sure to find it in Atlanta!

Atlanta nightclubs provide guests with a red-carpet atmosphere and an unmatched choice of entertainment. Famous for celebrity sightings, signature drinks, world-class DJs and intimate VIP areas, Atlanta clubs and lounges have it all. Dance the night away at Havana Club – voted Atlanta’s best night club five years in a row or relax in the sophisticated, stylish and seductive surroundings of Sutra Lounge or indulge in Atlanta’s ultimate midtown experience at Cosmolava.

Atlanta bars and late-night restaurants are the excitement you’ve been craving. When 5 o’clock rolls around, Atlanta bars start serving exotic martinis and handcrafted cocktails, on the side of live entertainment and tantalizing snacks. Allora, Bar 210, Bentley’s Steakhouse and Big Kahuna are some the city’s bars, clubs and lounges that are perfect whether you’re looking to unwind, dance to Top 40 music or spot celebrities. Atlanta also offers great sports bars if you want a little more heart-pumping excitement.

Honolulu, Hawaii

Hawaii earned its reputation as a relaxed beach getaway. If you’re feeling overly relaxed after spending the day on the beach, sipping from coconuts, then head to downtown Honolulu for an exciting night. The state capital is a bustling party hub, where the locals get just as crazy as the visitors! Whether you fancy dancing the night away in a beach club, catching a live music gig, or just enjoying a few cocktails in an elegant lounge or bar, Honolulu is the place to live it up. If you want a hip-hop fix, check out The District, a 316-square-meter nightclub with a seven-meter-tall DJ booth.

Denver, Colorado

The city is filled with entertainment and is a beer lover’s paradise! They brew more beer in the Denver Metropolitan area than in any other city in the USA. Denver is often associated with hippie jam bands and alternative rock but in the city’s LoDo (Lower Downtown) district, you’ll find dozens of Denver’s finest dance clubs. With loads of brewery tours, rooftop cafes, sports bars, restaurants and shops, Denver offers seemingly endless choices and a great vibe.

Denver also has a thriving EDM scene – from outdoor stages, to intimate clubs, and even big summer festivals – that has put the city on the map as a full-fledged EDM destination. Beta Nightclub is touted for the superb sound system and world-class EDM acts passing through this venue. Club Vinyl really has something for everyone with four floors, each playing a different kind of music. All this, along with a wonderful outdoor space for a night of unbeatable DJs, great sound system and drinks around the outdoor fireplaces, makes for a great time. The Church offers club experience unlike anywhere else with stunning vaulted ceiling, amazing light shows and beautiful stained glass from the building’s time as an actual church. Another club, Milk Bar, features different rotating themed rooms, making it a perfect place to lose yourself in EDM and dance all night.

New Orleans, Louisiana

The city of New Orleans is one of the best party destinations year-round and no sleepy head either. While music is the local language any time of the day or night, come sundown, opportunities to listen and dance to live music and catch cabaret shows are in every nook and cranny of the birthplace of jazz and cocktails. The city comes alive at night, keeping a syncopated beat that is irresistible and is still going strong when the sun comes up.

In New Orleans, you can bet to have a good time with the gaming and betting options in and around the city. Harrah’s Casino, within easy strolling distance of the French Quarter and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, delivers high-octane Vegas-style gaming, entertainment and restaurants. Across the Mississippi on the West Bank, there’s Boomtown that offers nightly shows, slots, table games and dining. The New Orleans Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots has large slot machine rooms and video poker as well as off-track betting.

This is a town where the dance floors are always crowded, and second lines keep the beat in the street.  From DJ-powered parties along the St. Claude corridor to Latin night pop-ups on Frenchmen Street, there’s always a club where your stuff can strut in New Orleans.

The town’s nocturnal eateries satisfy with a shared snack or a full meal with a bar as many restaurants are open 24 hours with lengthy menus. You can visit St. Lawrence for craft daiquiris and Erin Rose Bar for drink specials from midnight to 4 a.m., killer po-Boys, and famous frozen Irish coffee. Café Du Monde, the Original French Market coffee stand since 1862 serves café au lait and Beignets 24 hours daily while Cure bar is best known for pioneering craft cocktails.

The Crescent City is magical 24 hours a day but sure comes alive after dark.

Nashville, Tennessee

When the sun goes down, Nashville shines bright with plenty to do. The Music City offers honky tonks, concert venues, and restaurants to keep the party going from the moment the moon says hello to when the sun begins to rise. Nashville’s legendary Honky Tonk Highway, located on Lower Broadway, is a row of some beautiful establishments pumping live music into the streets from 10am to 3am. And the best part is that it doesn’t cost a thing! AJ’s Good Time Bar, Bootlegger’s Inn and Crazy Town are some of the many clubs that offer rockin’ stages, cold beverages and a party that lasts all day, every single day.

Nashville’s creative spirit has infiltrated into its kitchens, turning them into the chef’s studios and putting the city on the map. Places like 3rd & Lindsley offering food along with national and international artists, B.B. Kings Blues Club and Restaurant serving their signature dishes and, Dave And Buster’s offering hand crafted billiard tables, cosmic bowling and the million-dollar midway featuring over 175 gaming stations – are sure to satisfy your hunger late at night.

Some of the areas that host live and free music 24/7/365 include Honky Tonk Highway, Lower Broadway, 2nd Avenue, Sobro district, The Gulch, Midtown and Demonbreun Street.

Portland, Oregon

Whether it’s soul nights or dubstep bashes, Portland’s dance clubs get you moving. Holoscene – a popular indie music venue, Euphoria – the popular two-level music venue and McMenamins Crystal Ballroom with vaulted ceilings, grand chandeliers and a famous ‘floating’ dance floor draw local fans and visitors from around the world.

The iconic Doug Fir Lounge combines live music, great dining and hip style that draws local fans and visitors from around the world. Mississippi Studios and Bar Bar is an acclaimed former neighborhood Baptist church turned recording studio turned music venue while the wooden floors and cozy quarters of Wonder Ballroom – a 1914 restored building – offer an intimate setting for a variety of artists, ranging from metal and hardcore to indie, pop and beyond
