Byredo Captures Mumbai In A Bottle with “Mumbai Noise”

A scent crowded with contrasts of rich, warm woods and amber blended with plummy Davana and sweet tonka beans, Mumbai Noise by Ben Gorham’s Byredo briskly captures the essence of Mumbai in this new Eau De Parfum.

The European luxury brand, founded in Stockholm in 2006 by Ben Gorham with an ambition to translate memories and emotions into products and experiences, have launched their famous Mumbai Noise Fragrance in India with an exclusive distribution with Kolkata-based Beauty Concepts Private Limited.

Mumbai Noise EDP is the new oriental woody fragrance for men and women. It pays tribute to the sensorial multitudes and multifaceted modernity of Mumbai – fashioned in Ben Gorham’s memories of its past.

With top notes of Devona, middle notes of Tonka Beans and Coffee and base notes of Labdanum, Sandalwood, and Agarwood, the mesmerizing abundance of Chembur’s streets – the smoky haze of incense interspersed with streetside coffee carts and cacophonous soundscapes – is explored through a contemporary lens.

To mark the debut of Mumbai Noise, Gorham collaborated with Indian creative Ashish Shah, named in September by the British Journal of Photography as one of twenty photographers globally to watch in 2021. “The western perspective of India is probably the same now as it was a century ago,” shares Gorham. “But Mumbai is a melting pot of modernity. Through Mumbai Noise, and Ashish’s images, two perspectives meet.”

Mumbai Noise from Byredo is exclusively available at Maison des Parfums in Palladium Mall, Mumbai and Select City Walk Mall, New Delhi
