A five-month mega international arts and cultural event held in Macao, Art Macao, will span over the months of June to October this year. Featuring the “Art Macao: International Art Exhibition”, visual artworks will be displayed at numerous exhibition venues in Macao including grand hotels and resorts, foreign consulates, and the prestigious Macao Museum of Art. Creative installations will also be displayed outdoor for the public spaces, which will surely make your Instagram lit.
Art Macao also shines light on orchestras and performers from the International Youth Dance Festival, the International Youth Music Festival, the International Youth Drama Festival and the Visual Arts Exhibition of Macao Higher Education Institutions. The key note plays when the Chinese Orchestra beautifully demonstrates the passionate history and melody of classical Chinese music. The diversified exhibitions and cultural atmosphere bring together artists and enthusiasts alike. But what looks like the climax is just the beginning.

All That’s Gold Does Glitter
Sands China invites Caroline Cheng, a renowned ceramic artist for an international exhibition named “All That’s Gold Does Glitter”. Commemorating China’s gift of ceramics, about 80 masterpieces by more than 20 artists worldwide will be on show at Sands China and Macao Museum of Art.
Happy Heads
Benoit+Bo, the Franco-Chinese visual arts duo, create territories and landscapes from their own memories and places they have visited. The Happy Heads, or “smiling heads” are a big-time tribute to the traditional glory of Chinese festivals. Through photography, sculpture or video, these artists evoke the various issues of today’s world.
Hua Yuan
Flow with the ink as Hua Yuan presents “A Metamorphosis: No End to End” by Wen Ma, a specially created multimedia masterpiece that displays the diversity of ink using natural, virtual and sculptural textures. Three operas conjoin to present one act. Through Hua Yuan, the audience grasps the beauty of ink and its wondrous possibilities in the world.
