In an exciting move to enhance customer satisfaction and connectivity, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is set to unveil a groundbreaking service that will transform long-haul flights with seamless digital experiences. Starting from August 2, 2023, SWISS passengers travelling on long-haul flights will have access to free internet chat services, including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Telegram, regardless of their class of travel and without any data limit.
A New Frontier of Connected Travelling
The new free internet service by SWISS is designed to keep travellers connected with their loved ones, friends, and business partners throughout their entire flight. Utilising their smartphones, laptops, or tablets, passengers can now exchange text and picture messages effortlessly. This move by SWISS marks a significant step forward in providing a more enjoyable and connected travel experience for its valued customers.
The in-flight internet service is also set to offer various other digital amenities to enrich the travel experience. Passengers can access and read the digital SWISS magazine on their devices at any time, even without an activated internet connection. Furthermore, SWISS encourages travellers to register for “Travel ID” and “Miles & More” programs, facilitating easy and direct access to the new internet service in the future, along with several additional benefits throughout their journey.
According to SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Tamur Goudarzi Pour, the introduction of these new Wi-Fi options is a monumental step forward for the airline. He emphasises that the new unlimited free chat facility allows guests to maintain seamless communication with their loved ones and business partners during their flights. Additionally, the attractively priced internet packages for surfing, email, and social media ensure that passengers have the freedom to stay connected and engaged throughout their journey.
Discover the Packages SWISS Has to Offer
For those seeking a more comprehensive internet experience, SWISS offers two optional packages at affordable rates. The “Wi-Fi 4 Hours” package, priced at CHF 25 (INR 2369), grants four hours of internet access for surfing, email, and social media use. Alternatively, the “Wi-Fi Premium” package, available for CHF 35 (INR 3317), allows unrestricted internet access throughout the entire flight. First class and HON Circle members will enjoy the added benefit of unlimited internet access during their time aloft, adding an extra touch of luxury to their travel journey.
SWISS’s commitment to providing unlimited data volumes is evident through its forward-thinking approach. The company understands that passengers today consume data-heavy content during their journeys. To accommodate this trend, all the new internet services, including the free chat option and supplementary Wi-Fi packages, will offer unlimited data volumes. Only video streaming services will be disabled to ensure a smooth and equitable browsing experience for all passengers.
SWISS’s commitment to offering top-notch in-flight services and staying ahead of industry trends demonstrates its dedication to customer satisfaction. By embracing the digital age and revolutionising the flying experience, SWISS is setting a new standard for travel excellence, making long-haul flights not just a means of transportation but an opportunity to stay connected with the world.
