Experience the Vine tasting and learn the art of winemaking at the Mont Rochelle
Mont Rochelle in Franschhoek, South Africa, is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting replanting project at the vineyard.
This is the first time the vineyard, which covers over 100 acres, has been replanted since 1994. The project will see a completely new approach to planting and wine-maker, Dustin Osborne, has used GIS technology to establish which soils are best suited to certain grape varietals. The first new vines were planted in July 2018 and consist of Cabernet Sauvignon varieties which will be harvested in 2022.
You can stay at the Mont Rochelle and have the opportunity to meet Dustin and enjoy activities including daily wine tastings, a wine cellar visit and picnicking in the grounds. Treatments in the on-site spa have been specially developed to make use of the restorative properties of grapes from the estate, including the Signature Grape Stem Cell Facial which awakens skin for a youthful glow.
There’s no better time to visit Mont Rochelle as guests booking a stay of three nights or longer before 30th April 2019 will receive their final night for free. Rates start from ZAR6,960 per room, per night.
